The Power of Fasting for Breakthrough
On Daily Faith, We’re talking about American politics, news, and most importantly, the word of God with Pastor Myles Holmes. He is the Lead Pastor of Revive USA in Collinsville, IL. Today, he leads us to discuss how to fast for breakthroughs and the importance of having your faith rooted in Jesus Christ when storms come our way. The church has been silent for too long, and it’s time for the body of Christ to come together and remove our masks. We can’t sit around waiting for something to happen; we must stand up for what we believe according to the word of God! The only source of truth in America is the church, standing the word of God when the opposition tries to come our way. America needs a great revival, and the only way we will see that happen is through prayer and fasting. When we come before the Lord with hearts of repentance, the Lord is gracious to forgive us for all of our sins, yet we must believe in Him. God will never leave us nor forsake us during times of despair. It’s time for the church in America to rise and be counted. We want to encourage your faith to be strong and courageous in the Lord! If you don’t use your voice, you will lose it. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Ephesians 6:10. For those of you who don’t know, we have a ministry called The Orphans Hands. We help to rescue unwanted children from the perils of growing up in poverty and lack of support. Moldova is one of the poorest countries in Eastern Europe. It has one of the highest death rates due to alcohol abuse. Many children who live there have been abused, neglected, and abandoned by their families, leaving them to grow up in the orphanage. The Orphans Hands is a point of interception for them. We help save and rescue them from the terrible risks of human trafficking. We have villages of homes called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine. By providing a safe place for them to live, creates a sense of ownership. Upon coming into our homes, they discover and understand Biblical principles, engage in fasting, and praying for the needs of others to see a breakthrough in their lives. Their faith is rising in the Lord as they use their voice proclaiming the word of the Lord! By sharing God’s love with them, it has helped heal the wounds of their past. Our kids have sown seeds of encouragement into the lives of others and are reaping a bountiful harvest of blessings in their own lives. We want to say thank you for your generosity!
