The Power of A Story
Today, on Daily Faith, our guest is Mark Yoder of Christ Community Church in Sumter, South Carolina. He wants to talk to you about knowing the heart of our heavenly Father through the stories of the Bible. Most people know there is a God but haven’t discovered the benefits of a relationship through Jesus Christ, His Son. The word of God is alive and inspired by the Holy Spirit, full of life, stories, and parables that help us gain more insight and understanding of God’s true nature. Pastor Mark has written a book called Garden to Garden: The Story of God and Us. In this book, you’ll learn how God has established a relationship between man and Himself since the beginning. This story takes you chronologically through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, helping you grasp your true identity as a son and daughter of Christ. Pastor Mark wrote this book to help others grow and learn in their knowledge of Jesus and find enrichment in an established relationship with God. When our eyes are opened to know His love, you’ll discover how the power of a story can change your life! What story has God written for you to learn today?

The Orphans Hands ministry has helped to rescue unwanted and abandoned children for the past thirty years. One of the poorest countries in Eastern Europe is Moldova. We have a village of homes called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine. We help save young boys and girls from the risks of human trafficking. Due to poverty and lack of social support from their community, these children are often kicked out of their homes, forcing them to live in an orphanage. They are told that they are nothing in the orphanages and will never amount to anything in life. With feelings of loss, despair, and hopelessness, they are again kicked out at the age of sixteen and on the street with a bus ticket back to where they came. It’s in that hopelessness when we reach out and share the love of Jesus with them. We have told them, if they were born, God has a plan. Our kids are growing in their relationship with God through their love for Jesus. The stories of the Bible have impacted their hearts, helping to establish their true identity in Christ. From orphans to sons and daughters of Christ, they are now missionaries, returning the same love they have received to those in need. Thank you for your support!
