Refocus on Jesus
We have a word for you from the heart of God! Joining us today is Pastor Mike Devine of Covenant Church in Lincolnton, NC. He served in the church as a youth pastor for over twelve years when the Lord called him to step aside. Pastor Devine made an idol of doing the Lord’s work before first seeking after His face. Pastor Devine began a three-year journey as a middle school English teacher. During those three years, God dealt with the matters of his heart, and he learned more about God than his twelve years of youth ministry. That idol that once consumed his life was replaced with an intense focus on the true nature of God. He recently celebrated fifteen years of pastoring at Covenant Church. The Lord is moving so powerfully in the church, and Pastor Devine would like to share more of what God has placed on his heart for the church. Although we have lost so much during this pandemic, it has also been a blessing in disguise. It has given the church a chance to wake up and focus on seeking after the face of God instead of His hands for provision. God is looking for those who will lay aside their agendas to seek after His face with an open heart, allowing the Holy Spirit to move in their midst. It’s time for the church to get ready; Jesus is coming! For more information about Pastor Mike Devine’s ministry, Covenant Church, please visit www.covenantchurch.church.
The Orphans Hands is the heart of our ministry. We have a village of homes in Eastern Europe, Moldova, called Vatra Village for those of you who don’t know. Many of these children have been kicked out of their homes by their loved ones and are left to fend for themselves. They’re are subject to the risks of human trafficking. Upon coming into our homes, they learn to let go of the pain of the past and focus their gaze upon Jesus, the only one who can heal their hearts. They are now sons and daughters of Christ and have been given a second chance at life. We are currently in the process of getting another home ready to welcome fifteen more girls. That’s fifteen more precious lives saved from the perils of a terrible life. We would like to show you a video of what your support helps do. We can’t make it without the love of Jesus and the support of the church. Thank you for all your prayers and for reaching beyond your grasp to help those in need.
