Active The Word Within You
On Daily Faith, Pastor Derek Draughon is here to kick-start 2023 with a simple word on Faith. As believers, we know we are to have and utilize our faith in Jesus; however, in our daily struggles, it’s easy to get distracted and forget that God hears us and moves on our behalf. The word Pastor Derek brings is to remind and encourage you to activate the word within. Are we walking and talking with our mindset on faith in Jesus, finding out what the word of God says about the situation? Pastor Derek calls it faith talk. Lately, there’s a lot of talk going around but not a lot of action. We are to be people of faith, people of God’s presence. The word of God tells us that faith comes by hearing God’s word; without faith, it’s impossible to please God. Our faith, without works, or effort, is dead. The two must go together. We want to encourage your heart to wait patiently and remain faithful this season. As you remain steadfast and determined to believe in the word of God no matter what the circumstance says, God will remain faithful to you. Press on and fight the good fight of faith!

In Moldova, the hearts of many have grown cold. The lack of faith, hope, and basic necessities has brought about extreme poverty. They end up living each day, trying to survive. Too often, these families send their kids to live in an orphanage, and they grow up not knowing the love a family brings. We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Odessa, Ukraine, where we care for the needs of the children and share the gospel of Jesus. These unwanted kids are able to find peace and rest in the Lord, surrounded by a safe place to call home. Our kids are no longer orphans, but missionaries, sons and daughters of God, reaching the lost by activating their faith in God’s faithfulness.
As the war in Ukraine worsens, this has not stopped our kids from being God’s hands extended to helpless and hurting people. The devastation in Ukraine has risen, and the number of Ukrainian refugees has increased. The rescued has become the rescuer. Our kids are taking action and are doing all they can to minister and meet the needs of the people. Although this effort is long and hard, if you are willing, we will go. Will you believe with us and help us reach the lost by being God’s hands extended in this time of tragedy?
