Authentic Faith: Shining as Salt and Light
On the Daily Faith, we’re joined by Pastor Chris Fletcher, who leads Manna Church, a multi-campus congregation with more than 22 locations nationwide, all dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Christ. The Lord has blessed this ministry, and they are passionately pursuing the vision He has given them.
Recently, Pastor Christ preached a message discussing the contrast between the culture of the Church and the world’s perspective today. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the authenticity of our faith. Unfortunately, hypocrisy has infiltrated the church walls and is coupled with deception, threatening to mislead us. While many of us long for another great revival, it’s vital that we first address our sin-related issues and resist conforming to worldly standards. As Christians, we are called by Jesus to be the “salt and light” of the earth and shine like a city on a hill – meaning we should share His message and the truth of the Gospel with the same kindness and love He showed us. We are to be in the world, not of it, as outlined in the Word of God. When we shift our focus from worldly comparisons and instead turn to God in repentance and love, He will restore our hearts to Him, helping us endure until the end.

The heart of our ministry work is an impoverished country, Eastern Europe. Many families have struggled with the lack of support, alcohol abuse, and opportunities to better themselves, making it hard to support their families. Often, they send their children to live in an orphanage. These kids are left with loneliness and sorrow, enduring much pain and sorrow, and are forced to grow up quickly. When they are out of the system, the bus ticket sends them back to their homes, but the false hopes of the human traffickers misleads them.
We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Odessa, Ukraine, where we care for their needs, provide education and share the love of Jesus. Their hearts have grown past the world’s deceptions, and they are awakened to the truth in their identity; Jesus loves them and has a plan for them. We have recently welcomed more kids to Vatra, where they will learn and grow in the ways of the Lord. You won’t find hypocrisy here; they are on the frontlines of battle, giving food, blankets, and packages to the many refugees. They are no longer orphans but sons and daughters, missionaries reaching the lost and broken. Your continued prayers, love, and support have transformed the lonely. Thank you!
