Identifying Your Shepherd
On Daily Faith, today, you’ll hear how the Lord is our Good Shepherd, leading and guiding us along life’s journeys. Even during your deepest darkest moments of pain, God is with you. No darkness can overcome His light, for Jesus is the light of the world. His light shines in the middle of the darkness, revealing the shadows, exposing the enemy’s lies. In today’s program, Pastor Jesse Jarvis wants to focus on the nearness of God. Psalms 23:4 says, “For You are with me.” A shepherd cares, feeds, protects his sheep; no matter how far the sheep have gone astray, the shepherd is there waiting for their return. Our heavenly Father wants to be your Good Shepherd. He wants you to know that He is with you always. He is not against you, and He will never leave you nor abandon you. Almighty God, who holds the world in His hands, holds your heart with His. We want to encourage you to identify what you need God to be in your life by asking and seeing what God does. He is your Good Shepherd. Pastor Jesse Jarvis is the Senior Pastor of Christ Church Port Orange, in Port Orange, FL. For those who do not know, we have been rescuing abandoned, abused, and orphaned children in one of the poorest countries of Eastern Europe. Moldova has one of the highest death rates due to alcohol abuse. This tragedy leaves the families in despair, splitting up the homes where the children often end up in an orphanage. Left without hope, they are told that no one loves them in the orphanage. Once they become of age, they are forced out onto the streets with a bus ticket from where they came from. Lost and afraid, they are left to roam in the darkness, fearful of the shadows of night, subject to the false promises and misuse of the traffickers. The Orphans Hands is the heart of our outreach ministry. We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine. We help these hopeless children discover the light of Jesus, and their hearts are being changed by the power of His love and grace. Although they have suffered a great deal of pain and loss, they can now rest in the saving arms of their Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Our kids want to thank you for your generous support, love, and prayers. To learn more about The Orphans Hands Ministry, please visit www.theorphanshands.org.
