Drawing from the story of Paul and Silas praising God at midnight in prison, this devotional shows how praise in the darkest moments can transform any crisis. Choosing to praise rather than surrender to circumstances puts believers in a position of power over their situation.

Transcript

Paul and Silas are in the innermost dungeon. It's midnight. Everything's against them. They've been beaten. Their feet are in stalks. It looks like tomorrow they're going to die. And at midnight, in the darkest moment, the freak of nature, midnight's never one day or the other. It's stuck in the middle of nowhere. Paul and Silas decided to do something. They began to praise. And in the middle of their crisis, they praised so much that the prisoners heard them. An earthquake came. The prison doors flew open. The keeper of the jail sprang in and wanted to kill himself. And Paul said, do yourself no harm. We're all here. No one's left. They became the masters of the situation because they chose to praise rather than allow the circumstance to affect them. Keep praising. It'll change your life.
