Revival, Hope & Healing

About this episode

Pastor Matthew Cutter of Believers Fellowship Church in Springfield, Missouri joins Philip Cameron for a faith-stirring conversation about the real and present revival breaking out in the local church today. A third-generation Pentecostal preacher who once told God he would never pastor, Cutter shares how God had other plans — and how his congregation has already documented 11 miracles in a single year, including a stage-four breast cancer diagnosis that vanished after prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Cutter draws from 2 Chronicles 7:14 — "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land" — calling it a divine will and testament available to every believer. He cites sobering Barna Research data showing that fewer than 1% of churchgoers believe Jesus lived a sinless life, and that deep faith commitment dropped 35% from 2022 to 2023, making the case that the church must return to preaching the uncompromised gospel. "I'd rather be canceled by the world and continued by the throne," Cutter declares. He also highlights City Harvest Network under Pastor Rod Parsley as a covering for pastors hungry for revival. If you're ready to believe God for a move of His Spirit, this episode is your call to action. Learn more at mybfc.net and cityharvest.network.

Intro

Philip:34 years ago, I got a call to change my life. I was heading my house in Montgomery, Alabama those days. And my father called me from Scotland. It was midnight where he was, six o'clock in the evening where I was, and I picked up the phone and he said that our baby's dying.
Philip:It was a bolt out of the blue. I says, what are you talking about? And he explained to me that he was watching the BBC during the incredible time when the Berlin Wall fell in East Germany and Poland and Czechoslovakia and all these nations under the Soviet Empire, as it collapsed, became free.
Philip:And he called me one day, this evening, and he said to me, he says, our babies are dying. And I says, what are you talking about? He said, I'm watching the news in Romania. There are thousands of orphans dying. And I says, why are you telling me this? And he says, well, I want you to do something about it.
Philip:And I says, are you out of your mind? That's the Red Cross kind of stuff, not what I'm interested in doing. Well, he didn't quit. He nagged me all week. He was recovering from cancer surgery. His wound burst and was in a terrible mess.
Philip:He had a brace that stopped it from tearing open further. And all he could do was watch the news. And he called me back and he says, after three or four days of badgering me and trying to get me to go, he said, well, if you won't go, I'll go by myself. And if I die on the way, it's your fault. And thus I was reduced to caring for orphans.
Philip:I went there with him purely to get him off my back, do it once and I'm done. And I walked into this orphanage in Timișoara, Romania, orphanage number two, and walked around this place.
Philip:The worst smell and freezing cold — it was January — and went up the stairs to salon number five, and sitting in a crib with all these other kids was a little face. And the Lord says, that's your son. And so I picked him up and I said,
Philip:I don't know who you are, but I'm never gonna forget you, and I'm coming back to get you if I can. It took me a year. And in that year, I fixed up the orphanage, did all the work — beds, toilets, roof, everything.
Philip:By the time I had adopted him, 34 years ago now, our heart was completely smitten by the work of the orphan. The Bible says, when you care for the orphan, God will care for you. He's the father of the fatherless. When you give to the poor, you lend to the Lord. And our ministry and our family — our whole family, my wife and my kids — all of us are involved in caring for those in desperate trouble.
Philip:About 25 years ago, my dad called me again and he's telling me to go to Moldova. And I says, where in the name of goodness is Moldova? Not far away. It's just one more country over the Carpathian mountains.
Philip:So I went there and found this orphanage in a town called Ungheni. And the British press had named it the Dying Rooms of Moldova. And in that place, God really dealt with me. And we've been going back and forth and we discovered that in that country it was one of the engines of trafficking for young girls.
Philip:And we now have a ministry there. It's in a village called Vatra Village. A beautiful place right on the largest lake in the whole country. And we get these young kids and we take them into Vatra Village,
Philip:put them back in school. Each of those homes you're looking at just now have a house parent. And this lovely couple will care for these kids, have prayer meetings with them and literally become their house parents. And what's happened is over the years, as these kids have come in,
Philip:all the leadership now of this ministry that we have in Moldova were once orphans and they've come through our ministry and are now adults with families of their own. And they now are the ones that operate the houses of that village. It's incredible.
Philip:And part of the DNA of the ministry has always been to care for the widows, care for the homeless, care for the broken. And when the war broke out in Ukraine last year, we have a home in Ukraine. We've had one for six years. Long before the war happened, we had a home there.
Philip:And part of the DNA of our culture — of Vatra Village and all the things we do there — is to train our young folk to care for the broken. So when the war broke out, our kids just went to work and have been working ever since,
Philip:caring for refugees. And so these orphans have become sons and daughters, and then from sons and daughters, they have become missionaries. It's the most amazing — I've never seen anything like it in my life. God has been so kind to us. They sent a video the other day of them giving away things in Ukraine
Philip:to the families of the victims of Russia's war against them. You're gonna meet a man at the very beginning. It's in subtitles, so catch this — please catch the front part of this video. He tells how Russian soldiers asked him where his wife was.
Philip:And he said, she's in hospital. And they said, well, what hospital is she in? And he named some cities, trying to be as general as they can. And these Russian soldiers said, we are gonna find her and you're gonna watch what we do to her. And then we're gonna shoot you.
Philip:An old man — threatening to do terrible things to his wife before they kill her and him. And he was talking to our kids. And we've given over 15,000 coats to the broken families of Ukraine. You watch our kids.
Philip:Every young person you see in this video was once an orphan. It'll blow your mind. Watch this.
Despair is lived one day at a time. Takes an eternity as we hear, live our blessed life. Can you imagine living an existence that threatens to kill you every second,
every minute, every hour, every day. The wails of sirens, warning of missiles all through the night, causes every nerve in your body to scream.
There is no water, no power, no heat. The village, as you remember it, no longer exists. The streets and homes only survive in your mind.
The menfolk are all gone, alive or dead. You don't know. Fear is your neighbor, the guest at every meal, your bedfellow. Every night the young men and women from Moldova have come.
They tell us there are new coats and other things. Why do they care? Why have they come to hell? We'll go and see if what we heard is true.
Grace is waiting, kindness and love. A moment to smile. The strangeness of a hug. It's true. They are here, waiting for us in the middle of darkness.
The love of God meets the broken and hope is born again.
Philip:The love of God meets the broken and hope is born. Boy, that's the truth. And as our young folk go out and share their stories and how they've been broken and how God's redeemed them through grace and mercy, and by giving a coat and bananas and some food and care,
Philip:they're letting people know that you're not alone, that God loves you. And I need your help to keep this going. Literally, as I'm sitting here just now, 20 feet behind that camera I'm talking to, we have a team of people working right this minute. Next Tuesday, yet another 45-foot container is being sent across the ocean
Philip:to meet these people's needs. Every container costs $10,000 just to send it — now, the cost of the stuff inside, just the container. We need people just like you who will look at that video and say, well, I can't go, but I sure can send. Your gift of any amount will help us
Philip:keep this supply, this conveyor belt of supply and care. It does a tremendous amount for the people that we reach and love. It does a tremendous amount for the young people that give this stuff away. They are giving away more things in an hour than they've ever seen in their
Philip:entire life before, because you have become part of their world by giving. You can help us right now. Make a check out to the Orphan's Hands — the Orphan's Hands, PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. You can go to dailyfaith.tv.
Philip:There's a landing page there and a giving page. You can just do it through our webpage. And also you can call 833-Daily Faith. Why don't you do something today? Don't curse the darkness. Light a candle, and your gift becomes a candle of hope in the lives of
Philip:these people. I have been there. We've been helping in Ukraine long before Russia invaded a year ago. We were there six years ago caring for refugees from the Donbas region when no one else was interested in it, when no one else was there.
Philip:We were there caring for refugees from Donbas. And of course when Putin decided to take the whole country of Ukraine — not just annex Crimea and the Donbas region — the world became aware of it. I need your help. I need you to stay with us and stand with us.
Philip:If you'd like to help and become a partner monthly, a dollar a day will change your life. And you can be a part of this miracle as we continue. Please pray with that if you would. PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Make a miracle happen for someone today.
Philip:I'm delighted to have with me Pastor Matthew Cutter. He is pastor of Believers Fellowship Church in Springfield, Missouri. And I just spoke with him just a few minutes before the program started, but I felt like a kindred spirit with him — that we are both believing God for an outpouring of the Holy Ghost. And in these,

Third-Generation Preacher Married Into Pastoring

Philip:I believe, the closing days of time, what we do for the kingdom, we better be doing it now before our time is gone. And Matthew, I'd like to have you on Daily Faith. Thank you for joining us, my friend.
Matthew Cutter:It is a pleasure to be with you. I'm so glad to find kindred runners, kingdom runners for such a time as this. It is an honor to be here.
Philip:Well, thank you so much. And we appreciate the fact that you have a church. You started — I believe you began five years ago, if I recall correctly. Do tell us what God's doing in the church.
Matthew Cutter:I have actually been there five years. I was actually married into this. I am a third-generation Pentecostal preacher. However, I told the Lord I would never pastor a church.
Philip:That's a good way to start.
Matthew Cutter:Yeah. I met my wife and I was married into it. But I'm telling you, in a generation that is looking for something real, I believe that we have it here at Believers Fellowship Church in Springfield, Missouri. As I was sharing with you just a moment ago, already this year our church has seen 11 documented miracles.
Philip:Wow. Miracles are happening.

Eleven Documented Miracles This Year

Matthew Cutter:There are a lot of people out there that say, hey, miracles were of the olden days or the disciple days. No, God's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Philip:Absolutely. And if you let him, he will do what his word says he would do. After all, the book is right and they're wrong.
Matthew Cutter:We are experiencing revival and we're so happy about it.
Philip:Tell us, what kind of miracles are you seeing? Give us an idea as to what God's doing there.
Matthew Cutter:Some of our most recent — now this is how powerful prayer is. Just a few weeks ago we returned from Israel. While we were there, we got two major phone calls. The doctor has diagnosed us with stage four cancer.

Stage Four Cancer Healed After Jerusalem Prayer

Matthew Cutter:Stage four, meaning that the cancer has now moved to major organs of the body. And it wasn't a good thing. And they said, hey, you're in Israel. Would you please do us a favor? Will you pray? Number one. Number two,
Matthew Cutter:will you put our names in that wall? And I'm telling you, by the time we got home, this was the phone call. They picked up the phone — one of them was breast cancer. We went in because we felt the answer of prayer while you were there.
Matthew Cutter:Went in and asked the doctor to do one more scan. And the doctor said, well, it's your money, we'll do whatever you want to do. And they went and scanned. The doctor came in with the report, scratching his head, and said, you know what? I don't know what happened,
Matthew Cutter:but this was your scan just a few weeks ago and this is your scan today. And there is absolutely no cancer anywhere in your body. And I'm telling you, those are the kind of things that God is doing right here at Believers'
Matthew Cutter:Fellowship Church. We're in a moment of revival. He is fulfilling his word, pouring out his spirit on all flesh. And I'm encouraging — you mentioned just a moment ago, encouraging pastors to watch pastors.
Matthew Cutter:I'm telling you, there is a move of God that is happening right now. And you need to do everything you can to get in the middle of it. I don't want you to miss this. God's doing something fantastic right now.
Philip:It's amazing. There's an old saying — I used to hear my dad saying it. Two men looked out of prison bars, one saw mud while the other saw stars. Yeah.
Philip:And what is amazing, as we have guests coming on the program here at Daily Faith, you get a cross section of what's taking place in the church. And we'll have guests that will tell us it's all over, it's disaster, we might as well shut up shop and go home because America's gone. It's
Philip:too late. And all they can see is mud. And then once in a while, we have a pastor like yourself come on and say, oh my goodness, there's a revival coming. We are in the mercy drops part of the revival that's taking place. And I do believe this, Matthew, that it depends a lot on where our vision is. So a pastor can be watching today and if their spirit has been affected by what they're feeling and seeing in the world around them, negativity can literally swamp us.
Philip:And whether it's — if you're a housewife, you're a mom, you're a businessman — you can literally allow what you feel and the negativity to affect everything around you. And you can poison the most fertile field by negative thought. And I'm so excited to meet pastors that say God is moving.
Philip:Yesterday we had a pastor on with a tremendous testimony of how God's speaking to him about how there's never any confrontation with demons in the church anymore. And Thomas McDaniels was speaking about how when I was growing up, that was a regular thing in the church.
Philip:But because we don't have the power manifest, the devil — I guess the devil can sit in the pew and enjoy the singing.
Matthew Cutter:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. The Bible's very clear though, Philip. If my people — he's not talking to the world, he's talking to his people. If my people will humble themselves, here's a promise — we forget this. Here's a promise. If my people will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways,

Barna Data on Church Decline and Unbelief

Matthew Cutter:then I'll hear from heaven and I'll heal their land. To your point, only — well, less than 1% believe that Jesus lived a sinless life. That's in our churches. This was —
Matthew Cutter:this was not the world. Barna said, hey, let me put my finger on the pulse of the church. Let's see what's happening. Less than 1% believe he lived a sinless life. Those who say they were deeply committed to practicing their faith from
Matthew Cutter:2022 to 2023 dropped 35%. And if you are a pastor watching, I have to stop and say, hey, what are we doing? We have to come back and we have to preach the gospel.
Matthew Cutter:It doesn't matter if they don't like you, it doesn't matter if they cancel you. I'd rather be canceled by the world and continued by the throne. We've got to come back. Center point again — I said it a minute ago, I'm gonna say it again. Our pastor,
Matthew Cutter:Pastor Parsley, says this: the book is right and they are wrong. We have to begin to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ again. And just like us, in the last sense of the beginning of the year, we have really focused on revival. If my people —
Matthew Cutter:the entire scripture there — we've been focusing on it, and because of it, I think that God is doing what he's saying he's going to do. He's hearing from heaven and he's getting ready to heal our land.
Philip:Just before I came on the program today, I had some paperwork delivered to me by a lawyer. Last week I went and made up my will. So today I got this thick ream of paper with all these things I would assign, and what I was talking about in the office with the lawyer was kind of — you know, we were laughing and talking about stuff and we were going through the,
Philip:you know, and he was asking questions and I was answering questions almost flippantly. Just before I came on this program, I got it in black and white. And I'll tell you what, what I looked at wasn't as funny as what I was laughing about with the lawyer a
Philip:couple of weeks ago. In other words, what I saw was the actual last will and testament that I'm gonna leave behind. And in that testament, there were names. I have my people who are called by my name.
Philip:And on that thing is Chrissy Cameron — that's my wife. And Philip Cameron — that's my son. And Melody Cameron Chalk — that's my daughter. And Andrew Cameron and Lauren Cameron. If my people who are called by my name — when you have his name upon you,
Philip:when you have been covered by the blood of Jesus and you have been adopted into the family of God and you have his name, then the will and testament of God comes into force in your life. And so when I go, that piece of paper that I'm about to sign this afternoon becomes the promise
Philip:of what I'm leaving behind in this world. And Jesus is committed to us that if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, then I'm going to hear from heaven. And that is part of our will and testament from God.
Philip:We need to understand that we can claim this thing as an inheritor of God's provision. And so it's time for the church. If you're watching today and you're thinking, well, things are bad and half my church is cold and the other half is dead, well,

2 Chronicles 7:14 as God's Will and Testament

Philip:I believe that God has a promise for you that there's revival on the way. There's an old hymn — mercy drops around us are falling, but for the showers we plead. And I'm just thrilled to meet you, a pastor saying we are having revival.
Philip:We're not ready to switch the lights off quite yet.
Matthew Cutter:No, no. Everything that the world has gone through in the last two and a half years has brought us to a moment such as this. They're not — look, they're not looking — they're looking for something real. They're looking for something that has hope. We are supposed to be the people that the world is turning to.
Matthew Cutter:Absolutely. But our churches are collapsing because they're scared, they're fearful, they're worried about — are they gonna shut me down? Are they gonna cancel my streaming online? Is Facebook not going to — who cares? We have to stand up and we have to preach the gospel because Jesus
Matthew Cutter:himself said that this gospel must be preached. Must be preached. Doesn't matter what's happening around us. He said it must be preached. And we as pastors, evangelists, the entire fivefold ministry gifts have to come back
Matthew Cutter:together again. And we have to give the world what they're looking for. It is truth, it is hope. And we have power behind the truth and the hope that we are able to give. Men and women of God, stand up and
Matthew Cutter:preach the gospel. Hallelujah. That's what's gonna heal our world.
Philip:Matthew, we got two and a half minutes left. I want you to pray right now and ask God to send a revival to this country. Humble ourselves. We're gonna pray and hear from God and I believe he's gonna send revival in the next two and a half minutes. Pray for us, will you please?
Matthew Cutter:Yes. Number one, if you're a pastor out there, I want to encourage you — if you're needing a good covering, City Harvest Network, under the direction of Pastor Rod Parsley. I'm telling you, revival is breaking out in all of our churches.

Corporate Prayer for National Revival

Matthew Cutter:And I'm praying right now that just as the Bible says, if my people will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, turn from your wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and heal your land. God is wanting to heal our land.

City Harvest Network and Pastor Rod Parsley

Matthew Cutter:But there are precursors to it, and men and women of God — pastors, evangelists, teachers, prophets, the whole fivefold ministry gift — we have the time right now. The world is looking to us and we have to stand up. So Father, as according to your word today,
Matthew Cutter:we come into agreement and believe that you're getting ready to bring about a manifestation of revival, not just in America, but around the world. I pray that right now as we come into agreement, we touch and agree right now, believing you said in your word that it would be
Matthew Cutter:done. And I'm praying that revival is getting ready to break out right there where you are. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. It's done.
Philip:Hallelujah. I can feel it. I can feel it. Matthew, thank you so much. Mention again Pastor Rod Parsley — a great man of God and I've admired him for many years. Tell us again that network of pastors.
Matthew Cutter:City Harvest Network. If you need a good sound covering, it's City Harvest Network — cityharvest.network. And you can find all the information right there.
Philip:And your church is called Believers Fellowship Church in Springfield, Missouri. www.mybfc.net. And if you're anywhere in the area, you need to go and see Matthew and his dear wife April, because God is moving in their church and he needs to move in this country like never before. Thank you, Matthew, for being with us today on Daily Faith.
Matthew Cutter:You're welcome.
Philip:Thank you for watching us. And whatever you're watching today, please pray for us in our ministry in Ukraine and also in Turkey.
Philip:I didn't mention it today, but we're helping the victims of the earthquake. We're sending a team there next week. We love you. Thank you for being part of Daily Faith. Tell your friends about us. We can't wait to see you again. God bless you. Bye-bye.
For over 25 years, the Cameron family has been changing the lives of orphans in Romania and Moldova — from providing running water, flushing toilets and clean wells to coal for heat, new windows, as well as food and clothing. They championed the physical needs of the orphans in these broken and desolate countries. Many of Moldova's orphans are saved from the horrors of trafficking through
homes founded by the Camerons. And in the process, orphans become daughters and sons. They come to know their heavenly Father and are forever changed by the love of Jesus. God helped the Camerons lift these amazing young men and women out of darkness,
now no longer orphans. They want to return and invade that very same darkness with the light of Jesus Christ. The Orphan's Hands equips these daughters and sons to become missionaries. Your monthly gift of $31 will allow us to rescue and take in more girls
and boys, saving them from the hell of human trafficking. Your monthly partnership will allow us to care for those in the Orphan's Hands homes in Moldova and Ukraine. If you want to join Philip and Chrissy in taking care of these precious young
people, please contact us today by calling 833-Daily Faith. You can also give by going online to www.dailyfaith.tv or by writing to PO
Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. So many lives depend on what we do. Thank you for loving the lost.

Common questions

What kind of miracles has Matthew Cutter's church actually seen?

Cutter says his church has documented 11 miracles already in the current year. One of the most striking involved a woman with stage four breast cancer — while Cutter was in Israel, her family asked him to pray and place her name in the Western Wall. By the time he returned home, a follow-up scan showed absolutely no cancer anywhere in her body, leaving her doctor unable to explain the result.

Why does Matthew Cutter think so many churches are struggling right now?

Cutter points to alarming Barna research showing that less than 1% of churchgoers believe Jesus lived a sinless life, and that people who described themselves as deeply committed to practicing their faith dropped 35% between 2022 and 2023. He believes churches are collapsing because pastors are afraid of being canceled or shut down, and have stopped preaching the straightforward gospel as a result.

Does Matthew Cutter think revival is actually possible in America right now?

Cutter is convinced revival is not only possible but already breaking out. He says the cultural upheaval of the last few years has created a generation desperately looking for something real and hopeful, and that the church — if it will humble itself, pray, and preach the gospel without fear — is positioned to meet that need. He points to what God is doing at his own church in Springfield as evidence.

What does Matthew Cutter say pastors need to do to spark revival?

Cutter urges pastors and the full fivefold ministry to stop worrying about being canceled and simply preach the gospel, because Jesus himself said it must be preached. He also recommends pastors seek a solid covering — specifically mentioning City Harvest Network under Pastor Rod Parsley — where he says revival is already breaking out across member churches.

How did Matthew Cutter end up becoming a pastor if he never wanted to?

Cutter, a third-generation Pentecostal preacher, told God he would never pastor a church. He says he was essentially 'married into it' when he met his wife, and found himself leading Believers Fellowship Church in Springfield, Missouri — a role he has now held for five years.
