Daily Faith with Philip Cameron: Special Guest Pastor Jesse Jarvis
About this episode
Pastor Jesse Jarvis of Christ Church in Port Orange, Florida joins Philip Cameron for a timely conversation about the kingdom of God breaking into everyday life — and why no political wave can substitute for genuine spiritual revival. Jarvis, whose church recently expanded to a second historic multi-site location near the Daytona Beach coastline, opens with a powerful reminder rooted in the Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness — they will be filled." That hunger, he argues, is precisely where the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of earth intersect.
Drawing on Matthew 6 and the Lord's Prayer — "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" — Jarvis unpacks what it practically means for a Jesus follower to repent, course-correct, and live as a daily citizen of heaven. He introduces his FISCAL acronym (Faithful, Intentional, Sacrificial, Cheerful, Abroad, Local) as a framework for biblical generosity that goes far beyond tithing, challenging believers to invest where God is actually working.
Whether you attend Christ Church or are searching for fresh vision for your own church, this episode delivers both prophetic clarity and practical discipleship. Visit joinedwithjesus.org to connect with Pastor Jarvis and Christ Church.
“That red wave is not the revival that the people of God are hungry for. We're hungry for the kingdom of heaven to invade the kingdom of earth — not just for the values of the kingdom of heaven to be forced on the people of earth, but for hearts to be transformed.”
“The only time God involves himself in my life is when I involve myself in his life. Something happens in that moment — that immediacy, that point where heaven and earth meet, where the divine and the human come together — that's the giving point.”
“I will not sacrifice to the Lord something that costs me nothing. So you want to feel it. And God will bless you if you give — it'll be easier and easier and easier for you to give. You gotta actually crank up your giving so you feel it every time.”
What's Discussed
Pastor Jesse Jarvis of Christ Church — a growing multi-site congregation in Port Orange and the Daytona Beach area of Florida — joins Philip Cameron to explore the distinction between political change and genuine kingdom-of-God revival. Jarvis anchors the conversation in Matthew 5 (the Beatitudes) and the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6), arguing that individual repentance — not a red wave — is what transforms culture. He also introduces the FISCAL acronym (Faithful, Intentional, Sacrificial, Cheerful, Abroad, Local) as a practical New Testament framework for Christian giving. Christ Church can be found at joinedwithjesus.org.

Intro
Philip:Hey, welcome to Daily Faith Today. My name is Philip Cameron, and I am delighted to have you. We have got a great guest, and I believe the Lord is gonna use him to speak to your hearts today. And we are just delighted to be with you. We are excited. I don't know if you are the same as I am, but I sense a change in the atmosphere in this country. I feel a whole lot of the despair that a lot of us felt has been changed in the last few. It's amazing. It's amazing the power of a decision.
Philip:When a country makes a decision, when a person makes a decision, it can change everything. I've seen us in our ministry, we've been going along and you kinda get into the routine kind of stuff. And my spirit begins to get anxious and think, you know, what's wrong? And sometimes a clarifying decision brings everything back in line. Everything comes back into shape. And I get that feeling with America. We are watching a country, and this is the miracle of America.
Philip:I'm Scottish, as you may tell, and our country — absolutely in, in Great Britain — my old country is in a mess. I mean, up to the point of Civil War mess. The government and new governments, socialist governments come in. They were put there because the country was so mad at the conservative government and what they didn't fulfill their promises. And this new government's come in and there has just been, I mean, a war. They're now jailing people for having an opinion against the government. Someone, a lady was on Facebook and texted something and they jailed her for a couple of years. They are emptying the prisons in Great Britain from criminals, from people that have raped and pedophiles and murderers.
Philip:And they're letting — I think 2,000, I think is the number — letting 'em out hourly to make space for people that have criticized the government. And so what happens is, when a country becomes indecisive, when a church becomes indecisive, when a person becomes indecisive, what you do is you take away all the options. And I watch a couple, a man and a woman who have a boat and they're sailing around the world. It's very interesting. I enjoy it. And they'll go into this harbor or this bay for shelter. And depending on how the ship's faced, it'll rock like this. And it can be so violent. I mean, they've got two dogs, and the dogs get sick, and they get sick and they fall over.
Philip:But they turn the boat around and they anchor it off against the current. And just by turning the bow of the boat, it goes from this to being calm. And the decisions of your life, the stuff that you are doing just now, has not just an impact long term — it gives you peace right now. And I just feel in this country that we've made a decision. The country has made a decision, and it has been so decisive. No one can say, well, Trump won the electoral college but he didn't win the popular vote. He won everything. And I think that is giving everyone a bit of peace and calm and a spirit to say, well, hey, the country has decided this direction.
Philip:And I'm praying for America. I love this country with all my heart. I'm Scottish, but boy, I love America. And this country has a unique nature. It is unique in the world. And I came here because of the hope and the opportunity of this country. And there's nowhere else to go after America. This is it. This is the last best freedom. And I believe that God is gonna stir. And I think this is the opportunity for the church. And the folk of the body of Christ need to stir themselves and say, listen, it's time to make a new focus. We're gonna move forward, and we're gonna have a great time.
Philip:So I'm so excited to be with you. We're living in great days. If you're watching us, you can hit share or hit the bell to be reminded when we're on. And you can also watch us on youtube.com/dailyfaith. And you can tell your friends about us, please, if you would. Also, Daily Faith TV is our home base. All the shows that we do are kept there. So you can go back and go look through them in pretty much anything that you're going through.
Philip:We've talked about here on Daily Faith. And also, I'm being reminded by my teleprompter that there's on Daily Faith a place called Shop, and there's some great t-shirts and baseball caps and stuff. Tell us new merchandise is available right now. Tell what we do as far as caring for young folk that are living at the cusp of being destroyed by horrendous trafficking and stuff. We have an amazing ministry, I'll tell you about in a few moments, where young folk can come and they're kicked out, they've got nowhere to go, and we bring 'em into our homes. We have one in Odessa, Ukraine. We've got a whole village of houses in Moldova. And they come to us and we put them back in school and share the gospel with them. And we are watching incredible miracles take place.
Philip:In fact, one of our leaders got married on Saturday. And she sent me a picture this morning. And Kathleen is now a married woman, and just amazing to watch. They come to us with no hope. And through faith in Jesus, their lives are transformed. Listen, I'm delighted to have you with us today. We're gonna have a great time. Don't go anywhere. Welcome to Daily Faith.
Philip:Hey, welcome to Daily Faith. My name is Philip Cameron, and we are just so happy to have you with us today. We are delighted that you have happened by our program. God gave us this vision for Daily Faith during the pandemic. A lot of pastors would call us and say, you know, what's happening in the other churches? 'Cause no one knew what was going on. And I was spending a lot of time every day just talking to pastors and encouraging them. And one of my sons says, why don't you just get a pastor to come on and we'll talk about stuff. And that's how we began. And out of that, Daily Faith grew, and we are just so delighted what God is doing with us. Folk are contacting us, and new folk are watching the program every day. We are seen all over Florida right now through the CTN Network. We're also seen on other networks across the country. And we are just delighted to have you with us today.
Philip:We've got a great guest, Jesse Jarvis, pastors Christ Church in Port Orange, Florida. And he is a great man of God. His church is knocking it out of the park, and he's got some revelation stuff to share with you today. I believe, as I said in the pre-program, I believe that we are living in tremendously opportunistic days. God has given America, I believe, a fresh chance, a new start. The great thing with this country — I'm from Great Britain, and we're kind of stuck in history. All of the values of our country seem to be in the past. And America is the current trendsetter for culture and what's happening in the world.
Philip:And the miracle thing of this country is we can get into all kinds of messes. I mean, we can be into stupid stuff, and then an election comes and the collective wisdom of this nation speaks, and we can jerk the reins outta the people that are going to put us into the ditch. And we pull the reins back and we say, no, no, no, this is the way we're going. And that's what's happening. And that's what you are witnessing in America today. To talk about a guy playing in girls' sports and a man having a baby and all of the nonsense that we have been subjected to in this last wee while — it's like when you wake up and you think, really, did we think like that? And that's the moment we are in just now.
Philip:And that moment of clarity, I believe, is a rebirth. And I challenge you, if you're a Christian, why don't you take this same opportunity and say, listen, let's get all the junk off the shelves — all the stuff we've been carrying. And in Scotland, I come from a fishing town, a wee fishing town called Peterhead. And the boats, there's a slipway in our harbor. And the boats go up there, and the bottom of the boat is covered in barnacles. And those barnacles weigh the boat down. It takes more fuel to drive the boat. The boat is less stable because of the barnacles.
Philip:And what they do is they take the boat up the slip, and they've got these high pressure, fresh water, steam pressure washers, and they start taking off these barnacles. Then they repaint the bottom of the ship, and it's lighter and it's more responsive. And I think that is what the Lord's done for us, and what the Lord wants to do in all of our lives, yours as well. He wants us to get rid of the barnacles. Let me tell you, they're no good. They're doing you no good. Holding on to barnacles never gets you anywhere, I promise you.
Philip:And there's stuff in your life here. You got bitterness against someone in your heart. Whatever it is, let it go. Just say, Lord, it's a new day. Your mercy is new every morning. And I just claim the grace of God to make a new start. Forgive someone today, why don't you. The Holy Ghost just spoke to me just now. You need to forgive someone today. Someone's hurt you so badly, and you get all the — just, it's all right. You can be really mad. No, just let it go. Put it under the blood of Jesus and the person will be liberated. Won't be them. It'll be you. Get rid of your barnacles.
Philip:Anyway, we're delighted to have you with us. We do mission work in Eastern Europe, in Moldova and Ukraine. We have a home — long before the war started, we got a home there. And our kids live every day under the threat of Russian invasion. And they've come down the coast towards Odessa, and they've stopped right now because Ukraine is having heroic attempts to stop them getting to Odessa, because if they get to Odessa, that is the main port in the whole of the country. And Russia could strangle all of Ukraine by getting Odessa.
Philip:And we have a van — we just bought a van a few months ago — and it sits full of diesel at any moment to get our kids in that van and take them into Moldova, where our main home is. We've got a great place called Vara Village. It is the most beautiful place you ever seen. It was built originally for rich people, beside the largest lake in the country. And they poisoned the lake with chlorine trying to kill algae. And it killed all the fish and killed the whole lake for years. And it also killed this building project. And we bought it. And it is now used to take these young kids in that have no hope, that are at the risk of being trafficked, and we put them back in school and share the gospel with them.
Philip:And these kids are turning from orphans to sons and daughters, into being missionaries. And our kids are constantly out up in Ukraine. We do mission work nonstop in Ukraine and all over Moldova. Our kids have summer camps and they adopt each of the houses, adopt a village. And they make sure that all the widows of the village are fed and their wood's chopped and their gardens are cultivated. And so these kids that everyone thought were useless and worthless are turning into the most amazing kids for the kingdom of God. One of the girls that came to us is called — and she came from a horrendous, violent family. And I'll let her tell you her story. Watch this.
The most devastating moment from my life was when I had 12 years. And I became an adult just in one night when I had to save my mother's life.
Hello, my name is Erlana. I was born in a small village from Moldova. I have an older brother, and there should have been an older sister that could take care of me. When I was a child, I knew what it means to work because I helped my parents to raise animals and to work in the land. My father was violent with me and my family. The most devastating moment from my life was when I had to save my mother's life, because my father was beating her so bad. After the moment with my mother, when I had to save her life, I realized that I want to become a doctor to save many others' lives.
When I finished high school, I was afraid because I didn't know what to do and how to continue my studies because of the financial situation in my family. And I prayed a lot and God gave me the answer. And it was Orphan's Hands. Now I'm studying to become a doctor, and I want my future profession to be a way to serve the people, because by saving the bodies I want the souls to be saved as well. Thank you for everything you are doing for me and my future. May God bless you.
Philip:And that's the power of the gospel. Erlana had no hope. A violent dad that nearly killed her mom one night. And in that moment, she realized that she had to do something to help others like her. And she came with no hope. She wanted to be a doctor, and there was no way for her to get there. Well, I'm here to tell you something, because someone like you gave and is continuing to give. I often say that you can change a life for a dollar a day. That is what a dollar a day brings you. Every girl you saw in that video that you've just watched — every girl in the hands of a trafficker is worth $300,000 a year. Every girl. Three girls, the guts of a million dollars just to catch three of them.
Philip:And they come to us, and as I said, they come most times with the clothes on their back, scared and nervous. And we tell them, if you're born, God has a plan. We have tremendous welcoming parties. My wife, Chrissy, makes these great big Rubbermaid tubs full of everything that they need. And they have a party to welcome them into the home. And they try on the clothes and have a fashion show. And it's like the prodigal coming home. It really is.
Philip:And we need you to help us. We are expanding our ministry and we've got some stuff coming up in the near horizon that is really amazing — what God's gonna do. I'll be sharing it in the future. We're expanding to take in younger kids, and all of that will need tremendous funds, tremendous amounts of money to buy the homes that we're looking at, and also to keep them fed and clothed. Just the bus tickets to send all our kids to school and back every day, and just to give 'em a lunch — the money and the bus tickets cost us over $3,000 a month just for bus tickets.
Philip:So you can imagine, we've got a great big family. When one needs a pair of shoes, there's seven more that need a pair of shoes. And when one gets up for breakfast, there's dozens and dozens of people. And it all happens because someone like you says, I'll be a part of it. And we wish you could use your help. Real simple — just make a check out to Orphan's Hands and you can send it to PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. You can also go to Daily Faith TV. There's a giving page there as well. You can give through there. And there's an 800 number — 833, just dial Daily Faith on your keypad — and a real live, honest-to-goodness person will pick up the phone and we'll receive your gift and your prayer request as well.
Philip:We need you to help us. We want to expand, we want to do more. We are only limited in what we can do by the support we receive. And I'm watching this now. I believe that our business folk that are watching could help us. We've got two houses to sponsor and a barn that we're converting into a youth camp. And just the other day — in fact, yesterday — a dear pastor called me, and he is a tiny church of seven people in Pennsylvania, a Church of God church. And he called me yesterday and he says, we have been saving up and we want to help Orphan's Hands. And he gave us a check for $10,000. That is just crazy. That's just God and his mercy. So let the Lord speak to your heart to be a part of this miracle. And I believe God will bless you for it.
Philip:I'm delighted to have Jesse Jarvis with us today. He's from Christ Church in Port Orange, the Daytona area in Florida. It is a crazy church. This church has given to our ministry — in fact, right in the middle of the war in Odessa and Ukraine, we were sending up hundreds of tons of food, thousands and thousands of blankets and Bibles. And this church stepped right in with us and said, we are with you. And we're able to put into our hands — as I said to you, we can only reach out as far as the funds that we have will allow us to. And what a blessing they were to us, and to the thousands of people. Thousands of people every Thursday — 1,500 come and get fed. Still to this day, we give them bread and fish, loaves and fishes, every — that's a traditional meal. And we still do that because you care.
Philip:We're just delighted to have Jesse. Jesse, thank you for coming on Daily Faith again with us today. Boy, I'm glad to see you. And I want to tell the folk you have got an amazing church that's growing like a weed. Tell us what's happening.
Christ Church Growth and Multi-Site Expansion
Jesse Jarvis:Philip, it's great to see you and it's great to be on the show. Yeah, we're just overwhelmed by the move of God that we're experiencing here in Volusia County, Florida. We had a church in Port Orange. Our church, Christ Church, will be 10 years old this coming May. And of course, you and some of your team and family visited and you preached. When we were at two services, we went to three services. And we were in the middle of building to expand in Port Orange. And the Lord redirected our plans and we were able to purchase a second site, a very large historic church — hallelujah — very close to the ocean, a very expensive part of town, for just a fraction of what it was worth.
Jesse Jarvis:And so we became a multi-site church, which was not part of our strategy, but we do wanna be a multiplying church. And so to have two locations is part of that strategy. And right now I'm preaching at both locations and we're live streaming back and forth, and we're seeing lives change. The church is growing. Our online engagement and audience is growing. We've had more baptisms this year than any other year. People's marriages are changing. They're connecting in small groups. Family situations are improving — just story after story after story of touching people's lives. And we're honored to be a part of it.
Philip:I remember being there, and there was an immediacy about the church. Sometimes you go to church and it's a church service. But there was something — the only word that comes to mind is immediacy. There's a freshness, a nowness of the church. And I believe that by being current in what God's doing, it allows all of us to refresh ourselves. I've just been talking about this election that's just passed. We've gotta continually refresh ourselves in the Lord. And I feel that is an ongoing process at Christ Church. What's the Lord been showing you? I'm really interested to find out what God's been dealing with you about, 'cause that's where we're at now, this new move that's taking place.
Jesse Jarvis:Yeah, you know, that immediacy that you talked about — I think that is what Jesus talked about in the Sermon on the Mount when he said, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. And that is where the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of earth intersect. You know, we are in this very real, earthy kingdom, and there is a ruler of the earth, the dark powers. There is a satanic force in the world. There are all kinds of dark things that are happening. But where the darkness is, the light shines all the brighter. And where there's real spiritual life happening, when Jesus is in charge in people's hearts and the Holy Spirit of God is welcomed into our gatherings, things begin to change.
Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness
Jesse Jarvis:And yeah, the idea of the kingdom of God has been something that has really been stirring deep in my heart. And I'd love to actually talk about that just a little bit with you.
Kingdom of Heaven Invading Kingdom of Earth
Philip:Sure. That's why — you're right. The kingdom of God is way more real than Washington D.C., and it will never come to an end. America is a new baby on the scene of world history. But this kingdom that God has established will reign and will be forevermore. Tell us what God's been showing you about that.
Jesse Jarvis:Yeah, that's the thing too. Like you mentioned in your opening, America had a change of mind. And one of the beauties of American politics and the founders is they recognized the value of the corporate wisdom of common sense. And it's dangerous, but it's also valuable. We can collectively have wisdom and make a change. We can also collectively lose our minds and become a mob and go off the deep end. So it's not foolproof, but in their system of checks and balances, it allows for the American people to say, this is not the direction we want to go. And that's good. That's very good. And I'm optimistic about the next four years, and for America to have a different executive branch, the Senate, the Congress all aligned — there's a possibility that things could change away from some of the excesses and problems that we've been facing as a country.
Jesse Jarvis:Absolutely, that's possible. But that red wave is not the revival that the people of God are hungry for. We're hungry for the kingdom of heaven to invade the kingdom of earth — not just for the values of the kingdom of heaven to be forced on the people of earth, but for hearts to be transformed. When Jesus came in and began his ministry, what did he start with? Repent. The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Jesse Jarvis:Is at hand. And every individual is invited to change their minds, to stop thinking the way they were thinking, to stop living the way they were living, to listen to what Jesus is saying and to agree with him and to course correct. And when the individual makes that decision by faith to listen to the words of God and to find that what I've been doing is wrong, what I've been thinking is wrong, where this has taken me is not where I wanna be, and then to move in God's direction — that's when the kingdom of heaven invades the kingdom of earth.
Jesse Jarvis:And that's what we're seeing in healthy, vibrant churches right now — an invasion of the kingdom of heaven. There's still plenty of just regular, traditional religious people aligning themselves with the best parts of the kingdom of earth. But where the kingdom of heaven is emerging is where we're seeing lives transformed. And that has a spillover effect. The kingdom of heaven will change the kingdoms of earth.
Philip:I was just thinking as you're talking just now — I was just thinking how Jesus starts out. He chooses a couple of fishermen and a tax collector and a doctor shows up, and he gets his motley crew. Anyone looking would be thinking, what's this guy doing? You know, he's walking around the hills of Galilee and talking these fancy words. But what all of hell didn't realize was the kingdom of God had showed up. And there were the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the religious order, and then there was the Roman order. They had no concept that this guy that was born in a manger in Bethlehem from Nazareth would literally make the Roman Empire collapse. But he would turn the whole world upside down because the kingdom of God had arrived. And it arrived in a tiny corner, the furthest outpost of all time.
Jesus Begins Ministry with Repentance
Philip:And yet, when God's kingdom comes into the world, no matter how small it begins, it has the power to regenerate and to grow. So when Jesus dies, they all think, oh well, that was good while it lasted. And these crazy guys that he picked — man, they cussed and they swore and they denied and they doubted. I mean, dear Lord, who are we leaving the shop with? And the Holy Ghost came, and it changed the world.
The Lord's Prayer as Daily Kingdom Declaration
Jesse Jarvis:And the church still has that power to do the same thing today. Absolutely. And that's why Jesus instructs his followers — both his first hearers in the Sermon on the Mount and the disciples, the apostles, and everyone who's a Jesus follower — to pray like this: Our Father who is in heaven, may your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. And that begins each day in our life. That's why I love the name of your show, Daily Faith. When you daily turn to Jesus and you change your direction, change your mind toward him, to do what he wants you to do, you believe what he says, you listen to his Word, take it in, you make it your own, you think after him, you believe after him, you live after him, you do what he commands. It's very simple to be a Jesus follower.
Jesse Jarvis:It's a very simple mandate. We love God, we love other people, we give our lives away and serve, we imitate Jesus. We look at his life and we treat other people that way. Like you said, you scrape off the barnacles, you forgive, you show mercy, you are generous and patient and meek. And you just live like Jesus. And the world around you will in fact change.
Jesse Jarvis:And this is why it's so critical for us. And I want to just — if I had just a couple minutes — I want to just, I'm not one of those preachers that talks about money all the time, but the Bible talks a lot about money. And we became a regular partner with you in ministry because we believe in what you're doing with Orphan's Hands. And not only one time when you visited us — obviously we made a big investment — but on a monthly basis. And I believe there's plenty of people watching who God has entrusted with a lot of resources.
Jesse Jarvis:And as Christians, we can get a little small-minded. We can think about what we have and what we need and what we want, and we can try to be generous. And we typically are two, three percent of our income. And a lot of churches talk about tithing, and we could talk about that. But the scriptures say so much about how we should think about what God has put in our hands. And part of being a Jesus follower, being in the kingdom of heaven, is you want to be investing where he's working. If you wanna change your own life, if you wanna increase your peace, your passion, your purpose, invest where God is working. And the scriptures give us a picture.
FISCAL Framework for Biblical Generosity
Jesse Jarvis:I'll give you a 90-second sermon about how we should give in the New Testament. It's not just tithe and then that's it, or give to your church and let your church decide where all that giving goes. God calls each of us, and I have this acronym I use — FISCAL, F-I-S-C-A-L. God calls each person to be faithful. We will give an account for what he put in our hands, not what he put in someone else's hands. Not what we didn't have access to — everything he gave to us, we will give an account to him. What did you do with what I gave you? And every Christian needs to think about what God's given them and see themselves as a steward.
Jesse Jarvis:Give faithfully, give intentionally. You can't give after the fact. You can't give the way you wish you could after all the bills. You have to think about it, plan for it, do it on purpose. Faithful, intentional, sacrificial — it should hurt. It should cost you something. Remember David, when he was gonna sacrifice to the Lord and the field was being offered to him for free, he said, I will not sacrifice to the Lord something that costs me nothing. And so you want to feel it. And God will bless you if you give. God will bless you, and it'll be easier and easier and easier for you to give. You gotta actually crank up your giving so you feel it every time.
Jesse Jarvis:And so sacrificial. And people love to talk about the deals they got. They'll tell you the ways they spent money all day long with a smile on their face. And so if you are excited about what God's excited about, you'll be giving in a cheerful way. The last two parts of that acronym, A and L, are abroad and local. Local means you should support your local ministry — your church, your family, where you worship. You should be giving in a way that supports the work of ministry in your town. But God also calls us to participate in the leading edges of the kingdom of heaven, to give in places where we get no return. And so one of the reasons we love partnering with you, Philip, is that we respect you, we trust you, we believe in you. But you are investing in a place we can't reach, and that won't come back to us. And we know that honors God. And so we give abroad.
Philip:Something changes, and I wanna see — something changes when — yes. Faithful, intentional, sacrificial, cheerful, abroad and local. That covers it. That's brilliant.
Philip:Well, I know in my life, in my kids' lives, we live this. This is all we do. We think about where else we can change the world. This new kids' place we're trying to believe God for — it is such a challenge. But I know that the only time God involves himself in my life is when I involve myself in his life. Something happens in that moment I was telling you about, that immediacy, that point where heaven and earth meet, where the divine and the human come together — that's the giving point. That's the edge. This lovely girl that you just saw — her whole life's changed. Who she married has changed. Her babies will be changed. The violence is gone. The peace came because someone intentionally did something. Just that.
Giving Broadly Where God Is Working
Philip:I'm gonna keep — if you don't mind, I'm gonna preach that, 'cause that needs to be preached everywhere I go. Listen, Jesse, our time already is gone. I want you — if you're living anywhere in the Port Orange, Daytona Beach, Florida area — Christ Church, Port Orange, it's on Tomoka Farms Road. Is that right? Did I pronounce that right?
Jesse Jarvis:Yep. Yeah, the website is joinedwithjesus.org.
Philip:Great time. joinedwithjesus.org. Get in contact with them. They are reaching out in the local world that they live in and are seeing tremendous impact, and also to the utmost parts of the earth. Jesse, what a blessing. You've done my heart good today. I can't wait to come back and be with you all in Port Orange. Thank you for watching Daily Faith today. We'll see you again. Bye-bye.
For over 25 years, the Cameron family has been changing the lives of orphans in Romania and Moldova — from providing running water, flushing toilets, and clean wells, to coal for heat, new windows, as well as food and clothing. They champion the physical needs of the orphans in these broken and desolate countries. Many of Moldova's orphans are saved from the horrors of trafficking through homes founded by the Camerons. And in the process, orphans become daughters and sons. They come to know their heavenly Father and are forever changed by the love of Jesus. God help the Camerons lift these amazing young men and women out of darkness. Now no longer orphans, they want to return and invade that very same darkness with the light of Jesus Christ.
The Orphan's Hands equips these daughters and sons to become missionaries. Your monthly gift of $31 will allow us to rescue and take in more girls and boys, saving them from the hell of human trafficking. Your monthly partnership will allow us to care for those in the Orphan's Hands homes in Moldova and Ukraine. If you want to join Philip and Chrissy in taking care of these precious young people, please contact us today by calling 833-Daily-Faith. You can also give by going online to www.dailyfaith.tv, or by writing to Post Office Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. So many lives depend on what we do. Thank you for loving the lost.
Common questions
What does Jesse Jarvis say the difference is between political change and real revival?
Jesse is clear that the Republican election sweep — the 'red wave' — is not the revival the church is hungry for. He says what people of God are really longing for is the kingdom of heaven invading the kingdom of earth, meaning individual hearts being transformed through repentance, not just political values being imposed from the top down.
What is the FISCAL acronym Jesse uses for giving, and what does each letter mean?
Jesse's FISCAL acronym stands for Faithful, Intentional, Sacrificial, Cheerful, Abroad, and Local. He explains that giving should be planned on purpose (intentional), should cost you something real (sacrificial, citing David's refusal to offer God something free), should be done with joy (cheerful), should support your local church (local), and should also reach places you'll never personally benefit from (abroad).
Why does Christ Church partner financially with Orphan's Hands specifically?
Jesse says his church gives to Orphan's Hands on a monthly basis — not just as a one-time gift — because they trust Philip Cameron and believe in the work, but more importantly because it represents giving 'abroad': investing in a place they can't reach themselves and from which they'll receive no personal return, which he says is exactly the kind of giving that honors God.
What is Christ Church doing right now that's driving its growth?
Jesse says Christ Church, which turns 10 in May, recently became a multi-site church by purchasing a second, larger historic location near the ocean at a fraction of its value — something he says wasn't part of their original strategy. They're now live-streaming between both campuses, and he reports more baptisms this year than any previous year, along with growth in small groups, marriage restoration, and online engagement.
How does Jesse connect the Sermon on the Mount's 'hunger and thirst for righteousness' to what's happening in healthy churches today?
Jesse says that 'hunger and thirst for righteousness' is precisely the point where the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of earth intersect. He argues that in churches where Jesus is genuinely in charge and the Holy Spirit is welcomed, that hunger produces real life change — and that transformed individuals have a spillover effect, with the kingdom of heaven ultimately reshaping the kingdoms of earth.
