A Voice for Revival: Evangelist Daryl Petree on the Power of the Gospel
About this episode
Dr. Daryl Petree, national evangelist and missionary with nearly 37 years of ministry experience across roughly 60 countries, joins Philip Cameron to share a remarkable story of suffering, resilience, and a fresh call to the mission field. After enduring a 14-year season of devastating loss — including the death of a son, the loss of his home and all his possessions, a near-fatal collapse while ministering in Germany, and a violent bandit attack in Ecuador — Daryl refused to let hardship silence his voice.
At the heart of this conversation is a Macedonian call that has drawn Daryl and his wife to the Davao region of the Philippines, where they have already fed nearly 700 children in a single outreach. "Do not allow these circumstances to silence your voice," the Holy Spirit spoke to Daryl during a powerful early-morning encounter just days before this interview — a word he says arrived at the moment he was closest to giving up.
Daryl shares his vision to establish both a Christian school and a ministry training center in the Philippines, offering college-level training to pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and worship leaders. He draws a striking parallel between Daniel in the lions' den and believers today who feel insignificant amid global religious noise. If you are pressing through a difficult season and wondering whether your voice matters, this episode is for you. Learn more and support the work at darylpetrieministries.org.
“Those that break the alabaster box, those that pour out the oil, don't care about the cost, just do it. They are the people who are always on their way to a resurrection.”
“The room was filling up with angels, and it was such a powerful moment that I thought possibly it was my time to die. And as the room is filling up with angels and the Spirit of the Lord was all over me, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, 'Do not allow these circumstances to silence your voice.'”
“While this was a day of religious confusion, there's a little man in a lions' den — alone, in a foreign country — who's no doubt feeling insignificant, like his voice is not being heard. And we're still talking about Daniel today, and his words that he just had to speak in his generation are words that are filled with prophecy and truth that we're still listening to and reading and gleaning from today.”
What's Discussed
Dr. Daryl Petree, a national evangelist with nearly 37 years of ministry and experience in roughly 60 countries, recounts a 14-year crucible of loss — a son's death, losing his home and possessions, a near-fatal health collapse in Germany, and a stabbing attack in Ecuador. Now based in the Tampa, Florida area, Daryl describes a compelling Macedonian call to the Davao region of the Philippines, where a single feeding outreach reached nearly 700 children. Days before this interview, a sovereign early-morning encounter renewed his resolve: the Holy Spirit said, 'Do not allow these circumstances to silence your voice.' He now pursues funding to establish a Christian school and ministry training center in the Philippines. Support: darylpetrieministries.org.

Intro
Philip:Hey, welcome to "Daily Faith." My name is Philip Cameron, and I hope you like me wearing my Easter colors today. I hope you had a blessed Easter, that we serve our risen Savior. Let me tell you something. The resurrection didn't just happen 2,000 years ago. The resurrection happens daily inside you.
Philip:When Mary Magdalene broke the box, when she broke the alabaster box, she did not realize that she just set herself up to be present at the resurrection of Jesus, the only person. When she went to touch him in the garden, Jesus says, "Don't touch me. My body's not yet glorified." Because she saw Jesus while he was still in the process of resurrection.
Philip:Those that break the alabaster box, those that pour out the oil, don't care about the cost, just do it. They are the people who are always on their way to a resurrection. And I prophesy over you right now in the name of Jesus that you are on the way to a resurrection. Oh, it may have been horrible, the crucifixion, and all the pain and suffering you've gone through. I understand all about that. But if you're a box breaker, let me tell you something, resurrection is on its way. And I speak into your life right now in the name of Jesus that no weapon formed against you is going to prosper, that God loves you with an everlasting love. He loves you with a love that will not let you go.
Philip:Isn't that crazy? Isn't that insane that the God of the universe... I love these shows that tell you about how big the universe is. There are trillions of galaxies. It's so big across, it's vast beyond, science can't even comprehend it. There are more stars than there are grains in all the seashores and all the deserts of the world. And yet God knows my name. My name is written in the palm of his hands. In other words, I'm always on His mind, and so are you.
Philip:And in your circumstances, I just want to prophesy over you today in the name of Jesus that you're on your way to a resurrection. We've got a great show today. A dear friend, Dr. Daryl Petree, is with me today, and I believe that he's got something to tell you about keeping on going on. Don't let your circumstance — where you are today is, you're not a photograph, you're a video. You're on your way to something, and that's the difference.
Philip:If you could hit share, like on your — if you're watching this on social media, you can do that. And there's a wee bell, and if you tap that bell on your device, what it does, it turns on the notifications for the program, so when "Daily Faith" comes on the air, you'll know we're here. We are here to stand with you. We are here to affirm your faith. We're also on YouTube. I don't know if you know that or not, but we're on YouTube. It's really simple. youtube.com/dailyfaith. And you can subscribe to us there as well. I think we went over 1,000, which is ridiculous. We don't speak about this enough. And if you could do that for us today, it would be a great help.
Philip:We might jump a few hundred today. But we are just so excited to have you with us because you're going to meet a guy today that has seen the Lord be faithful to him, and he's now posturing himself, positioning himself to become a missionary in the Philippines. And I am so — anyone that does something for the Kingdom of God, anyone in this day and age that decides to stand up and do something, I admire that person. You're going to love this program today. I'm delighted you're with me. Welcome to "Daily Faith."
Philip:Hey, welcome to "Daily Faith" today. My name is Philip Cameron, and I am so pleased you're with us. We're just enjoying the fact that we serve our risen Savior. I was in church with my family yesterday, and oh, the joy to feel the resurrection power of God.
Philip:When Jesus rose from the dead, let me tell you what he did. He conquered death, hell, and the grave. You talk about the devil. He thought he'd destroyed the second. He got the first Adam, and he thought, "Boy, I'm going to destroy the second one." And when Jesus died on that — the butchery — you have no concept of the butchery that they did to the body of Jesus while they killed him. 40 lashes. It tears your flesh off your skin. I mean, exposed bone off your skin. And then they made him carry that cross up to Calvary, and he died there.
Philip:And the great thing — every demon danced. Boy, the devil thought this is who they were worshiping in heaven, and, "They threw me out of heaven, and I've got him. I've got him." And you know something? The devil thinks he's got you, too. The devil looks at you and thinks, "Boy, I've got him. I've got him in a corner he'll never escape from." Let me tell you something. God is on your side. And if God be for you, who can be against you?
Philip:There's always an escape clause. There's always God. The Bible says He makes a way of escape. And I want to encourage you today that there's a resurrection coming into your life in the name of Jesus. 35 years ago, I was sitting in America. I was on TV shows preaching. I preached a message on household salvation. I'd written a book that had sold 300,000 copies. It was amazing. I checked off all my bucket lists when I was in my mid-30s. It was amazing.
Philip:And one day, the phone rang in my house, and I picked up the phone. It was my dad calling me from Scotland. He was recovering from cancer surgery from a large melanoma on his back, and the wound had burst open. It looked like you'd taken a number three club and had a divot out of his back. And he couldn't move. Every time he twisted, the wound opened up. And he was stuck with a brace on, and all he could do was sit waiting for this hole to heal.
Philip:And at that time, it was when the Berlin Wall fell and all these amazing things happened. And he called me up one day, and he says, "Philip, there are babies dying." And I says, "What on earth are you talking about, Dad?" He said, "I'm watching the BBC, and there are babies dying." I says, "And?" He says, "What do you plan to..." Every time God gave my dad a burden, he gave me a job. And he says, "What are you going to do about it?"
Philip:I says, "I'll send the Red Cross $100. What relevance is kids in a country called..." I says, "Is that where it commonly comes from?" He says, "Aye." He says, "But there are babies that we would go and help." And I said, "We're not helping any. We're fine. We've got a Bible school that I'm supporting, spending all my life doing that. I don't need any more pressure. I don't need any more burdens."
Philip:And after three days, he called me, and he says, "Well, if you won't go with me, I'm going to go there by myself. And if I die on the way, it is your fault." And I says, "Okay. Stop it, stop it, stop it." And I went home to Scotland, and our little town had heard that a cancer-stricken pastor was going to Romania. And so he and I and a few other folk got in a convoy and drove all the way to Timișoara, Romania. I had no idea.
Philip:I hated every minute of it. Hated going, hated coming back. Oh, it was horrible. Terrible. Got there, found this orphanage, walked in, went up all the rooms — they call them salons — and I'm saying, "Okay, Dad, this is the same as the last one. Let's go. Next room." "Oh, no, Dad, we're good. Let's go." He says, "There's an upstairs, too." I said, "No, no, no, no, no, no, don't. Let's just leave. We've seen it all." And he ignored me, and he climbed up the stairs.
Philip:We did the salon number five. I didn't know it, but in salon number five, there was a wee boy waiting for me to become his dad. I missed a miracle. If I hadn't gone up those stairs, I would never have found Andrew. And I climbed up the stairs, went into the room, and there's, like, 30 kids all rocking in their cribs because no one had ever hugged them.
Philip:And in the middle of this sea of noise and clanging cribs, a wee face was looking right at me. And the Holy Ghost said, "That's your son." I picked him up, half naked, covered in his own waste, and I said, "I don't know what it's going to take, but I'm coming back for you." Took me a year to get him. I was back every few weeks myself, standing in the orphanage, crying, "Why am I here? What am I doing?" They had no toilets.
Philip:Sobbing in toilets. The beds were lead paint — that's what replaced the beds. The roof leaked. Oh, gracious me, it was horrendous. But I was called in that smelly place. And today, we've got the most amazing ministry.
Philip:Also, we have a ministry in Moldova, which is the poorest country in Europe, and in Ukraine. Our girls live under the threat of missiles. We've built a village of homes in a place called Vatra. It's the most gorgeous place you've ever seen. It's right on the largest lake in Moldova. And these houses were built for rich people. That village you're looking at was built for rich people to have a home beside the lake. And they poisoned that lake. There was algae in it, and they put in tons and tons of chlorine to kill the algae. And they killed the fish, they killed everything, and they killed this project that was being developed for rich people, and it sat unfinished for nine years.
Philip:And one day, one of the darkest days of my life, I walked on that place, and the Lord says, "I want you to believe me for this place." A million dollars. And I thought, "Are you kidding me? Lord, you got to be kidding me. I can hardly stand up, never mind..." And he says, "You got to believe it." And Andrew was with me. The boy that I adopted was standing beside me in the rain. And I said, "I don't know what it's going to take, but I'm going to believe God for this place."
Philip:And I'm here to tell you, God is faithful. And we bought it, and we paid it, and it's full of the most amazing kids. Every girl you're about to see in this video, if a trafficker gets her, if a trafficker gets their hands on any one of the girls you're going to see in a few seconds, she'll make $300,000 for that trafficker. And they're safe in a place called Vatra. And they go to college, and some are now doctors, and lawyers, and police officers, and interpreters for embassies. Most amazing thing.
Philip:We have one boys home in the middle of Vatra Village. Amazing boys. Great boys. And they sent me a video the other day. They make these videos themselves. They write them. They do the whole thing, send the music, put the subtitles on it, go on Google and get the subtitles, and you get to see it the same way as I do. You watch what grace has done in these boys' lives. Watch this.
Thank you for giving us a chance to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ in Vatra Village. This is my first Easter celebrated at Vatra Village. Thank you.
Philip:Christ is risen. Christ is risen indeed. Some of those boys are celebrating Easter for the very first time. Someone like you gave a dollar a day to make that all happen. Someone like you gave a dollar a day. Everything we do in Moldova, all of the day-to-day stuff — these houses, each of the houses of Vatra Village sponsor a village, a poverty-stricken village. And they find every widow, and they chop wood, and they do their gardens. And they have youth camps on a regular basis, and we become friends with all the kids in the village. And then anyone that gets saved, we bring them to the church there. And these kids, orphans, come from horrendous backgrounds.
Philip:You can't imagine the hell that they've lived through to get to Vatra. And they turn into missionaries. Most amazing thing I've ever seen. And it's all been done by someone like you giving a dollar a day. You can change a life for $1 a day.
Philip:And you can write me today if you can and help us. It's so simple. Just The Orphan's Hands, P.O. Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Really simple. P.O. Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Type that in your device or write it down if you're like me. You can also contact us at Daily Faith, dailyfaith.tv. So simple. Dailyfaith.tv. And there's a giving page there, and you can say, "Hey, Philip, I want to be a part of this thing." And also, if you want to, you can go on by phone.
Philip:That's me. I'm a phone guy. 833-DAILYFAITH. Just dial 833 and then type in DAILYFAITH, and a real-life person will talk to you. And you can allow us to continue and expand. We've just bought two new houses for little kids between the age of four and 16. We've never done this before. And boy, am I excited to see how God is going to do that. We need your help. We need your prayers. We need your money, but we need your prayers more.
Philip:And if you'd like to help us, give a one-time gift to make those new houses possible. We're looking for someone to give money. If I could take you to see these two new houses that will rescue 50 little kids between the age of four and 16, and I could say to you, "We could save all of those kids for $2,000," I know you'd do it. And that's the video right there. That's the houses. And we've signed the contract, and now we're believing God for the money. And you can be a miracle in somebody's life. There's a great big barn there as well that we're going to turn into the...
Philip:There you go. We're going to have the best kids camp in the whole country. We're going to blow their minds and take kids from all over the country and share the gospel. Orphans preaching the gospel to other orphans. I think it's divine, and you can be a part of that if you would. So please, get in contact with us. God will bless you. You give to the poor, you care for the widow and the orphan, and God will bless you.
Philip:I've got a dear friend with me. Dr. Daryl Petree is with me today, and he's got a great story. Man, he has got a vision for the Philippines, and I'm going to talk to him about that today. And if you're looking for an answer, and you're going through a tough time, let me tell you something. Tough people last, tough times don't last. And Daryl, I'm delighted to have you with me on "Daily Faith" today. How are you doing, my brother?
Dr. Daryl Petree:I'm doing well, thank you. Welcome to my home here in sunny Florida.
Philip:Don't make me jealous. It's freezing cold in Tennessee. We moved from Alabama up to Tennessee, and I've barely survived the winter. So I'm jealous and mad at everyone that lives in Florida right now. So don't —
Dr. Daryl Petree:Well, I love the Smoky Mountains, so —
Philip:It's beautiful.
Dr. Daryl Petree:We can be jealous of one another. They begin right out my back door, so that's something.
Daryl's Call as National Evangelist
Philip:That's true. How are you doing? Give us an update as to what God's doing. You've got some exciting news for us.
Dr. Daryl Petree:Well, I'm doing very well. The last time I talked with you, I was pastoring in Mississippi. Now I'm serving as a national evangelist.
Philip:Fabulous.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And we've relocated to Florida, and so it's in the Tampa area.
Philip:Fabulous.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And we're heavily involved, as you know, in mission work. In nearly 37 years of ministry, we've been to about 60 countries. And most of my visits have been to preach — preach crusades, preach in local churches, wherever it might be. And since we've come to Florida, I'm not going to get into a lot of specifics, but we've been going through a particularly difficult season. And it's in this season that the Holy Spirit has been speaking to us about going deeper into mission work, specifically in the Philippines.
Philip:Fabulous.
Dr. Daryl Petree:I've been hearing what the old-timers used to call a Macedonian call, and this Macedonian call has shaken us. Over the past few years, we've been heavily involved in mission work in the Davao region of the Philippines. We've been doing things like feeding kids and clothing kids. We went two times last year to the Philippines. On one of these visits, we wanted to feed some kids. I thought about feeding 50, 60 kids. I think we fed nearly 700 kids.
Macedonian Call to the Philippines
Philip:Oh my goodness.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And so it drained our pockets, but it opened the door to this Macedonian call like never before. And so we're in the beginning stages of raising funding to do something that I've never done before in ministry — actually go and serve as a missionary in the Philippines.
Feeding 700 Children in Davao
Philip:That's amazing.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And we want to first reach kids. Now, I know that you might know my story, and a lot of people watching might know my story. I went through a 14-year series of very dramatic events. I lost a son. A year later, my home was ripped apart. A year later, I lost everything I owned. I went from preaching in some of the great churches across America and around the world to living out of my car. A couple of years later, I was ministering in Germany and just collapsed. And I don't remember much about the next couple of months. I nearly died. I lost over 70 pounds. I got back on my feet, went back to the mission field.
Fourteen Years of Devastating Loss
Philip:Wow.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And my first night in Ecuador, I was attacked by bandits and nearly killed. I was stabbed several times — stabbed inside my ear and up over my ear, in my hand here, and through this hand. I nearly died. Went back home, got back on my feet again, and with a desire to do a work for the Lord, went out and started a church in Mississippi. And then my granddaughter passed away. And when my granddaughter passed away, it was as if everything that I had gone through was intensified.
Philip:Sure.
Dr. Daryl Petree:But spiritually, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me in a way that He had never spoken to me before, and this is really the birth of the mission work that we wanted to do in the Philippines. But still we were doing the work remotely. But now, especially over these past couple of years, that we've been going through a particularly difficult season, the Holy Spirit has said, "I know you're dealing with some challenges, but I've got a job for you to do."
Dr. Daryl Petree:And so we're praying for miracles. We're getting the word out, and once we reach a particular funding goal, we're actually going to go and we're going to serve. And we want to minister first in the lives of kids. We have a desire to establish a school there. And we also want to establish a ministry training center.
Philip:And you're qualified to do this. This is your training, so on top of all the ministry you've done, you got the degrees to go and actually start a school. So you got ready years ago, and God's been maneuvering you to get you to the point to say —
Dr. Daryl Petree:It's amazing.
Philip:And that's what people don't understand. I had a great friend, a mentor more than a friend, called Arthur Burt, and he said this to me one day. He says, "Philip, you can't fix the fixer." In other words, when God has a plan, if you would talk to Jonah, nothing in Jonah's life worked. He was always going down — at the bow, down at the belly of the whale — until God got him to where he was meant to be. And I believe that God's been moving you and utilizing and preparing you for this very moment, and I'm excited for you.
Dr. Daryl Petree:Power of the voice.
Philip:Absolutely. Power of the voice.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And one of the reasons why I believe we've been so attacked recently is to silence the voice. And through this season, it's as if it has intensified over the last few months to the point that, Brother Philip, I've grown very discouraged. And up until last week, I was so discouraged that I thought possibly, well, maybe I need to calm it down. Maybe I need to just make other plans or just continue doing things remotely and just sort of give up on the vision.
Angelic Visitation and Fresh Vision
Dr. Daryl Petree:Something happened to me about three days ago. It was early in the morning, about 6:00 a.m. I'm in my living room, and it was as if a portal into the throne room opened up. This had never happened to me before. I could literally feel the presence of the Holy Spirit come into this room, and I knew that the room was filling up with angels.
Dr. Daryl Petree:I know that's very dramatic to say things like that, but the room was filling up with angels, and it was such a powerful moment that I thought possibly it was my time to die. And as the room is filling up with angels and the Spirit of the Lord was all over me, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, "Do not allow these circumstances to silence your voice."
Philip:Hallelujah.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And through this storm that I've been going through, I've felt so insignificant. You know the feeling.
Philip:Sure. And I know that a lot of people watching know the feeling.
Dr. Daryl Petree:Well, you're significant. You're worthless. You can't do this great work that God has called you to do. But it's in these moments that God wants us to, instead of give up, get up and accomplish the impossible.
Philip:Amen.
Dr. Daryl Petree:I was thinking about Daniel. Six centuries before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, God raised up Daniel. And Daniel knew about troubles and trials and times of pressings, and I'm sure that he felt insignificant at times. And God was raising him up, and at the same time, Satan was raising up voices to counter the voice of the prophetic. And he wanted to silence the voice of truth.
Daniel in the Lions' Den Parallel
Dr. Daryl Petree:When Daniel was in the lions' den, about that same time, the Mayan religion was starting to flourish in South America. Aesop was writing his fables in Greece. Confucius was sharing his philosophies and planting seeds for Confucianism in China. Around the same time, Buddha was starting his religion, which was another form of Hinduism in India. And while this was a day of religious confusion, there's a little man in a lions' den — alone, in a foreign country — who's no doubt feeling insignificant, like his voice is not being heard.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And we're still talking about Daniel today, and his words that he just had to speak in his generation are words that are filled with prophecy and truth that we're still listening to and reading and gleaning from today.
Philip:Wow.
Dr. Daryl Petree:So I came out of that experience just a few days ago with fresh new vision. I'm not going to be silent. My voice is not insignificant. And there are hundreds, there are thousands of kids in the Philippines who need us. And we want to go, and we want to establish a school. We want to give kids more than just food. Sure, we're feeding kids now. We're clothing kids now. We're doing our best to minister to them one by one. But we'd love to be able to have a school where we can train them in the ways of the Lord.
Vision for a School and Training Center
Philip:That's the secret. Yes, sir. That's the secret.
Dr. Daryl Petree:And we also want to have a ministry training center where we can give college-level training to pastors and evangelists and missionaries and music directors. We've teamed up with a couple of different ministries who have said they'll supply some musical instruments for us to give to some people we want to train, and God has opened up the door to us in a very powerful way in the Philippines.
Philip:Well, I've learned in my life, if ever a door closes in front of me, I can either beat my head against the door that's closed, or I can start turning around and see what door God's opening for me. Because I often say this all the time — big doors swing on small hinges. And sometimes God takes the hinges off a door and says, "No, that's not where I want you to go. It's this way." In our ability to be mobile and to be fluid in His hands and allow us to continue, that is where the miracle takes place.
Big Doors Swing on Small Hinges
Philip:And we've got a couple of minutes left. If you're watching the program today and you would like to invest in Dr. Daryl Petree's ministry, I'd like you to take his address down. He's looking for folks that can sponsor his ministry. He's found a property that he needs $250,000 to buy, and it's really simple — 10534 Opus Drive. That is right there, and you can go back, or better still, listen, easiest way — darylpetrieministries.org. That's the easiest way, darylpetrieministries.org. Go on that site and say, "Listen, I want to sow a seed into helping a new voice, a brand-new voice to speak in the Philippines, and to feed and care for kids." That's what we do.
Philip:But the fact you're going to start a school is just another level altogether, and I believe that God is going to bless you. Father, in Jesus' name, I pray for my brother. I pray that you will open windows of heaven and pour him blessings that he cannot contain. I pray over him that he will have doors opened and doors closed until you get him to where you want him to be. And as he is walking and he's moving by faith, I pray for everyone watching this program right now that if you're in the same situation and you're looking for an answer from God, let me tell you something. The answer's already left heaven, and the answer is on its way in the name of Jesus.
Philip:Daryl, thank you for being with me on "Daily Faith." We're going to be praying for you, checking up on you, and I'm excited to see what God's going to do.
Dr. Daryl Petree:Thank you so much.
Philip:Thank you for watching "Daily Faith." God bless you. Be with us tomorrow. We have got an answer. His name is Jesus. Bless you.
For over 25 years, the Cameron family has been changing the lives of orphans in Romania and Moldova. From providing running water, flushing toilets, and clean wells to coal for heat, new windows, as well as food and clothing. They champion the physical needs of the orphans in these broken and desolate countries. Many of Moldova's orphans are saved from the horrors of trafficking through homes founded by the Camerons, and in the process, orphans become daughters and sons. They come to know their Heavenly Father and are forever changed by the love of Jesus.
God helped the Camerons lift these amazing young men and women out of darkness. Now, no longer orphans, they want to return and invade that very same darkness with the light of Jesus Christ. The Orphan's Hands equips these daughters and sons to become missionaries. Your monthly gift of $31 will allow us to rescue and take in more girls and boys, saving them from the hell of human trafficking. Your monthly partnership will allow us to care for those in The Orphan's Hands homes in Moldova and the Ukraine.
If you want to join Philip and Chrissy in taking care of these precious young people, please contact us today by calling 833-DAILYFAITH. You can also give by going online to www.dailyfaith.tv or by writing to Post Office Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. So many lives depend on what we do. Thank you for loving the lost.
Common questions
What made Daryl Petree decide to become a missionary in the Philippines instead of just doing remote mission work?
Petree says that after years of doing mission work in the Philippines remotely — feeding and clothing kids in the Davao region — he began hearing what he calls a 'Macedonian call' that intensified over time. A recent early-morning experience in which he felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and angels fill his living room, and heard the message 'Do not allow these circumstances to silence your voice,' pushed him from discouragement back to full commitment to going in person.
What does Daryl Petree actually want to build in the Philippines, and how much does it cost?
Petree wants to establish both a school for children and a ministry training center that would offer college-level training to pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and music directors. He has identified a property that requires $250,000 to purchase, and he is currently raising funds toward that goal.
What kind of hardships has Daryl Petree gone through in his ministry career?
Over a 14-year stretch, Petree lost a son, lost his home, and lost all his possessions — going from preaching in major churches worldwide to living out of his car. He later collapsed while ministering in Germany, nearly died, and lost over 70 pounds. On his first night back on the mission field in Ecuador, he was attacked by bandits and stabbed multiple times. More recently, the death of his granddaughter compounded all of it.
Why does Daryl Petree think he has faced so much opposition in ministry?
Petree believes the attacks on his life and ministry are ultimately an attempt to silence his voice. He draws a parallel to the biblical Daniel, who faced opposition while surrounded by competing religious voices — yet whose words still carry prophetic weight today. Petree sees his own trials as a similar effort by the enemy to stop a voice God intends to use.
How many countries has Daryl Petree ministered in, and what has his work in the Philippines looked like so far?
Petree has ministered in roughly 60 countries over nearly 37 years of ministry, primarily preaching crusades and in local churches. In the Philippines, he has made two trips in a single year, focusing on the Davao region. On one visit alone, what he planned as a feeding for 50–60 kids ended up feeding nearly 700 children.
