Zach Drew on Stones of Remembrance and God's Prophetic Calling
About this episode
Zach Drew, host of The Zach Drew Show and founder of I Go Before You International Ministries (IGBY), joins Philip Cameron for a deeply personal conversation about the "stones of remembrance" God places throughout a believer's life. Drawing from Joshua's command in the Old Testament to build memorial stones after Israel crossed the Jordan River, Zach unpacks how pivotal God-moments become the foundation we stand on when storms of adversity arrive.
Zach shares two defining stones from his own journey: a prayer over him as a young boy by a woman named Sally Bills, after which he went from being told by his music teacher "there's no music in this boy" to leading praise and worship within months — and a prophetic word delivered at a church camp in July 2008 by a man named Gareth Richards, who told a 17-year-old Zach, "That one word is media," launching his calling into Christian television. He also recounts a powerful on-camera moment with Jim Bakker, who declared a television mantle over Zach's life.
Rooted in Deuteronomy 31, Zach challenges viewers to identify their own stones of remembrance — moments where God showed up and showed off — and to treat them as foundation stones, not just memories. Learn more about Zach's ministry at zachdrewshow.com.

What's Discussed
Zach Drew, host of The Zach Drew Show and founder of I Go Before You International Ministries (IGBY), explores the biblical concept of 'stones of remembrance' — pivotal moments where God's intervention becomes a lasting foundation for faith. Referencing Joshua's memorial stones built after Israel crossed the Jordan River (Deuteronomy 31) and drawing from his own life, Zach recounts a childhood prayer by Sally Bills that supernaturally ignited his musical gift, and a precise prophetic word delivered at a church camp in 2008 by Gareth Richards — a stranger who told 17-year-old Zach his calling was simply 'media.' A later on-camera prophetic moment with Jim Bakker confirmed a television mantle over his life. Zach urges viewers to identify their own stones of remembrance and trust them as unshakeable foundation stones in seasons of adversity.

Intro
Philip:For those who are just watching the program starting from now, you don't know what happened. But we do like a prelim before we start the actual show, and I thought we'd started the program. So this is the first program of a year for us in Daily Faith. And I guess I'm rusty — my son is sitting over here laughing at me because I totally blew it, and I'm pretty good at handling these things, but the day I blew it, man.
Philip:We're excited to have you with us today. Zach Drew is with us on the program and he's one of my favorite people. What a great man of God. Every time he speaks to me he challenges me and he shows me things and teaches me stuff, and you need teachers in your life. You need people who are specific in their purpose and that they watch and view and collate things — you know, when you collect pieces of paper and they all fit together. Well, there are ministries that collate things for you spiritually, that give you a Reader's Digest grasp of what's going on around you.
Philip:And I don't have the time to do it, and that's where Zach is so important in my life, because he does that for me, and I love his program. He's got a show called the Zach Drew Show. We'll be telling you how to get in contact with him. You need to get in contact with this guy — he will bless your spirit. We have tremendous, exciting things taking place overseas in Ukraine right now that I just can't wait to get to you. But before that, remember we're on CTN every Monday night at 9:00 and you can watch us there, and also on DirecTV channel 376, Dish channel 262, Glory Star channel 117, and you can also see us on the TCT Network along with Destiny.
Philip:Integrity is a new network that you need to pay attention to. Dale Hill is a dear friend of mine for 50 years. He built the PTL Network and has put together the Victory Network that's just begun to explode across America, and you should be watching for Integrity because you'll be hearing about that. So just check in with us if you can and see where we are.
Philip:Also, I want to show you a video. As you know, our ministry has been involved in Ukraine and Moldova and Romania for 33 years. We've had a home in Odessa and we had to evacuate our girls out of Odessa to Moldova, and we're at this moment thinking we're going to have to put them back into a war zone, and we're not happy about it. But that's some of the things we're facing, so pray about that. But anyway, our young folk — our kids — took up some of our vehicles loaded with wood stoves and blankets and went right into the war zone. There are three towns: Odessa was getting shelled, Mariupol was getting shelled, and our kids were right in the middle of it.
Philip:Kherson — they found a source of fish. That's one of the staples in that part of the world, and they also found a bakery and they bought all the bread, and they had a miraculous day of loaves and fishes. And they made a video of this and I want you to watch it. I know it'll bless your heart. Watch this.
A year ago their world was a happy place. They had jobs, their kids were in school. The corner shop sold bread and cheese and everything else. Their world was just like yours — until through the mist and snow, monsters came. The tracks rattled on the ice-packed fields. The guns pointed towards the world they lived in. It takes less than a second to obliterate everything they had spent their lives building.
There are no accurate numbers as to how many have died. The end is nowhere in sight. We have been in Ukraine for years. From the first explosion we were involved — we took this assault personally. The orphans' hands could not stand on the sidelines and do nothing. Our amazing group of young men and women did the unimaginable. Once again they drove into a war zone.
Once orphans themselves, they have felt personally the hand of grace and redemption. To go to this devastated world seems to them as normal as having a meal or going to church. They drove for hours, unable to stop and stretch their legs, as inches on each side of the vehicles were live mines. Every few miles they were stopped at checkpoints by nervous soldiers.
They were running along the line between the Russians and Ukrainians. Our team finally reached Kherson, a recently liberated city still held in the grip of desperation. They had brought food, wood-burning stoves that will save lives in the bitter, deadly cold that is to come. They brought blankets that for too many is the only barrier between survival and death.
On a dreary day, within the sound of guns and bombs, the most astonishing thing took place. The rescued became the rescuers. Hundreds waited in the rain, shuffling along in a line that ended up in love — smiles, bread, fish, and the words of care from the heart of the redeemed.
As they traveled they came across bombed-out villages, scarred by the strife of bullets, destroyed by the landslides of death. Their water, electricity, and everything else was gone. But the wooden stove had become the guardian against the deadly cold. We know it is impossible for most to even imagine this world, but by giving and praying together for this unfolding tragedy we can join our hearts and hands to bring the hope that was sent to earth by a loving God. If it were us, we would wait in line hoping that someone somewhere was thinking of us.
We must go back. Will you send us? Every gift you give allows us to be his hands.
Philip:I cannot express to you how desperate their world is. Temperatures of minus 30 degrees with no water, no heat, no fuel, no hope. Russia pulled back over Christmas and started shelling as soon as Christmas Day was finished — and their Christmas is on the 7th of January, so you know how recently that was. Our kids are going back as soon as we can gather the funds to buy more stoves, to put together another rescue team, and I'm asking you to help us today.
Philip:I'm asking you please — if this were your mom or your dad or your grandmother — the old people are the ones that haven't been able to move. They're stuck. They're literally stuck in this hell where a shell arrives from nowhere and destroys everything. I learned since that video was made, 80,000 they reckon have died so far. This is like the last World War again, and we're living here as if nothing was happening. Can you give a gift today?
Philip:You can help us with two things. We need help — we are seventy-five thousand dollars away from buying the home in Ukraine that we've been leasing. We've got to buy that house because our girls are going to have to go back to Ukraine. I can't even imagine it, even as I'm saying it. But the man who owns the house is going to sell it, and if we don't buy it we'll have no home for our kids to go back to. We are 75,000 away. Please pray about helping us — just write "Ukraine house." Every penny that you give will go towards that Ukraine house.
Philip:If you want to help a mission trip, if you want to help with food, just write "food." You can contact us at PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Clinton, Tennessee — really easy to get a hold of us. And you can go, if you want, to our website www.dailyfaith.tv, and your gift can go up and be applied to that right this minute. Let the Lord use you.
Philip:Identifying with someone in need — here's a story of Jesus. There's a man who's walking on the way, on the Emmaus Road, and he falls among thieves. This story caught Jesus' attention. He told it — whether he knew it divinely or he inherited it growing up, whichever way it was, he decided to talk about this Good Samaritan that found the man that had fallen among thieves.
Philip:If you want to touch the heart of God, if you want to get into the memory banks of heaven, find someone that's fallen among thieves and pour in oil and wine. Wine was a disinfectant, oil was a balm, and then he put him on his donkey and took him to the nearest inn and said, "Fix this man up, and whatever it costs, when I come back I'm going to pay it for him." Can you help me bind up broken people?
Philip:Can you give a gift today — whatever you can give? And I'll give you the address one more time. This is Daily Faith. You can write to PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. You are going to do something special — I believe it. What a great way to start the year out, reaching out and being God's hand extended. So please allow the Lord to speak to your heart today in the name of Jesus.
Philip:I am delighted to have a dear friend with me. I've watched him grow up from a young boy. He was on the Jim Bakker program — I first met him as this young kid who would sit down at the end of the row, and every time he spoke I'd go, "Whoa, where did that come from?" And then the next time I'd go back and think, "How do you hear this?" And he was telling things that I'd never heard before. He was researching stuff and putting color — pixelating, putting color and hue into stories that I had maybe heard about or hadn't heard about. And out of those early days a great ministry has developed, and I'm just delighted to have my dear friend Zach Drew with me. Zach, thank you for being on Daily Faith today, man.
God Marks Our Lives with Memorial Stones
Zach Drew:I love you, bro. I appreciate what you do. Thank you for having me, and Philip, you know I love you — you're like an uncle to me. Thank you for having me today on the program.
Philip:Tell us what the Lord's been talking to you.
Zach Drew:God marks our lives. I can look back over my life and I know that there are moments. I was a wee boy — my dream was to sing and travel with my dad and play the accordion. That was my dream when I was a wee boy. I was eight years of age, and there was a lady called Sally Bills — her name was Sally Bills — and she had prayed for a young man in an English church that we were associated with, called Roy Turner, who just passed away, the mentor of my life musically. And she prayed for Roy and he literally sat down at the piano and picked it up and played it right away.
Sally Bills Prayer and the Music Gift
Zach Drew:So Sally Bills was coming from England up to Scotland to us — we were having a conference. And I sat in this little van of my dad's, a four-cylinder little Vauxhall Viva van, and Sally sat right next to me, and it was like a 12-hour journey. And I tried to get the courage to ask her to pray for me like she did for Roy — for 12 hours. And I would say to myself, "Okay, I'm going to count to ten and I'm going to ask her." One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. One, two — all the way up the road.
Zach Drew:So we got to two miles from my house and I was getting desperate, and I said, "Sally, would you please pray for me like you did for Roy Turner?" Because my music teacher was Miss Ellis, and she sent me home and told my mother, "Don't waste your money or my time — there's no music in this boy, forget about it." So Sally smiled and put her hands on my head — just a boy, six, seven years of age — and she said, "Lord Jesus, fill this boy with music, anoint him." Within six or eight months I was leading praise and worship in our church. Amen. It was a pivotal moment of my life.
Zach Drew:And you know, Philip, in the Word of God, especially in the Old Testament, in these radical moments that we share with God — the Spirit of God moving mightily in our lives — back then what they would do is they would set up memorial stones.
Philip:Absolutely. Yes — physically look back and remember in those moments what God did.
Zach Drew:Yes, people. And in the same way, you remembering that moment — that is a memorial stone. You can look back and see the goodness of God in your life. And I just want to encourage your viewers today that even during this program and after this program today, you will reflect on those huge moments where God showed up in your life.
Philip:Absolutely. The joy of yourself. We are in an end-times ministry with an end-times focus. This show is called the Zach Drew Show. It's under the covering of what we created called IGBY, and the reason is because I truly believe this ministry will one day be an online — in the sector — show, and will simply be part of that lineup. And I believe that if the Lord fulfills the promises that he has made in my life since I was 17 — and I believe he will — that it'll morph into even a type of platform in these days ahead.
IGBY Ministry Vision and Media Growth
Zach Drew:You know, absolutely. It's 2023 and we've experienced such incredible growth over the last couple of years at this ministry. We're on DirecTV now coast to coast, 35 to 40 million homes, Comcast cable, various platforms. We just started a TikTok actually, just in October, and we have six or seven hundred thousand views on that. So things are growing, and I felt the Lord even just three weeks ago say it's going to increase so much, so soon. Big news this week — even sad news this week — we're experiencing growing pains.
Zach Drew:And I said on a program recently, they called them growing pains for a reason. Growing feels good, but they're not — they're pains. These things are happening in my life and around me, and it has even caused me to look back and reflect on the goodness of God, what God has done and what he has promised to do. These points of reflection — what the Bible would call stones of remembrance — I really would just like to take a step back and share the goodness of God in my life, and a part of my story, trusting that it may encourage you and your viewers today to look back on these stones of remembrance.
Zach Drew:I want to say one more thing before I talk about how the Lord has moved so mightily in my life. You see, Joshua also used stones to help God's people remember his goodness. After wandering in the wilderness for 40 years, the Israelites experienced the power of God to roll back the waters of the Jordan River, enabling them to cross over and take possession of the promised land. And Joshua then commanded them to build a memorial of stones as a public testimony of what God had done for them — stones that reminded them to keep on praising him.
Zach Drew:Can I tell you something I reflect on as a stone in my life — about what launched me into the world of Christian media? I got saved when I was 17 years old, radically saved. We don't even have time for that part today. I just started to consume the Word of God to such an unbelievable degree. I'd go out with three friends every week to evangelize the malls, and we ended up leading our youth group of about a hundred and sixty kids. It was just a time of being on fire for God. And that summer, every church I could go to I was going to. I was at a specific camp — I'm 17, this would have been July of 2008.
17-Year-Old Zach's Secret Passion for Media
Zach Drew:And I remember I was in my room — I was a counselor for the younger kids during this week at church camp — and I was in my room journaling. It was a worship time, the tangible Spirit was there, and I was journaling before the Lord. And I had a passion, Philip — truly a hidden passion that nobody knew about, not even my closest friends. I had kept it to myself, and I don't even know why, but I can always come back to it, and it was a passion for all things media. I loved media.
Zach Drew:And I remember journaling before the Lord that day as a 17-year-old at that church camp — it was 110 degrees outside, a benefit of the counselors' cabins having AC — and I was drilling down before God. And I remember telling him, "Lord, I need to know if I'm supposed to go into the world of media," because I was very forthright with him. I said, "God, I don't have enough faith. I need you to tell me if this is what I'm supposed to do," because what I was seeing in my mind, Philip — it wasn't like saying I want to be a major league baseball player. It was like saying I want to go to the moon. Either you make it or you don't. These were big things in my mind, and I said, "God, I don't have enough faith — you've got to confirm it to me."
Zach Drew:And I kid you not, it was literally the very next day that there was a man with a thick Australian accent. I remember his name was Gareth Richards. And I had just left the morning service — I was walking back to my cabin. I had met him that week at church camp, so he did not know anything about me. I remember he called out, "Hey, Zach!" in his accent — that was cool, I thought, "This guy even remembered my name." I remember he walked up to me and I could tell that he had tears in his eyes, and I was thinking to myself, "What is going on?"
Gareth Richards' Prophetic Word at Church Camp
Zach Drew:And he said to me, "Zach, I received a word from the Lord for you." He said, "I have never received a word so clear from the Lord before," and tears started going down his eyes. His hand was on my shoulder and his other hand was in front of me. And he said, "Zach, that one word is media." And he said, "Zach, I'm seeing" — and he started telling me — "I'm seeing talk shows," and he listed all of these things. And he also said, "Zach, all of this entails one thing, because you must stay humble. If you stay humble, God will continue to use you."
Zach Drew:And even as I look at this week and these events that are taking place around my life, I look back at these moments and I think to myself, that is a moment where God just showed up and showed off. These are moments that you can go back and take faith in.
Philip:Absolutely.
Zach Drew:I was 17 years old, and that ended up leading me to Jim Bakker actually. And that's another stone in my life. And before I even continue, I just want to encourage whoever's viewing your program today to look back at the stones of remembrance in your life. First and foremost it's your salvation — crossing that Jordan River, so to speak, in your own life. Set free from the bondage of evil and sin in Egypt, to leave the water in the desert, to be baptized in the Jordan, and being sent across the river into the promised land.
Philip:And when you met those moments — and when you met Jim — that was when I first met you. We've got about four minutes left in the program. Can we show the video? Can we show that video? That was one of these moments in your life. Watch this, guys. Watch this — this is that moment in his life. Watch this.
Jim Bakker Declares a Television Mantle
Zach, I believe with all my heart you're called. You have a call that I have been told is on my life. You have the call of television. And there's not very many that are called exclusively. I was the first man that I believe was actually called — the prophet laid his hands on me when I was 19 and said I would go where no one had ever gone before. You will go where no one has ever gone before. You're going to pioneer a new ministry, a new dimension of television. In the night God will show you what to do, and God is giving you a mantle at this hour, and you must stay in that consecration. This word "consecration" is not here for no reason at all today, because God wants you to be consecrated. In the name of Jesus — my God, my God, my God, my God — let the mantle fall. It's your calling. Don't worry how. Don't start figuring out how. Just say, "Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord." Thank you. Hallelujah. It's the yes that counts. It's the yes that counts.
Zach Drew:Amen. You know, Pastor Jim — he didn't know me. He had only known me for about two weeks. He didn't know what the Lord had placed in my heart. I hadn't done any hosting, any co-hosting. This wasn't one of those off-the-cuff observational prophecies, like you see so many prophets doing today. This was a true rhema word from God. He couldn't have known any of this. This video was taken in 2009 — it's 14 years ago this September. And I truly believe that Jim was a type of Moses to his generation.
Philip:Absolutely.
Zach Drew:The Lord has placed a Joshua anointing over this ministry and what he wants to do through it. That's why this ministry's covering name is "I Go Before You." It's a promise that God — it's actually in Deuteronomy 31, and it says, "It is the Lord who goes before you" — this was Moses speaking to Joshua — "He will be with you and he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." This is our vision here. The promised land is salvation, and it was also a mandate of Joshua to tear down the deception, the high occultic places of worship, and to expose them and destroy them. And that is our mission too. But I believe that one day a type of network will be birthed from here that'll go around the world. I believe that network of watchmen ministry right here, and I believe this audience — look back at your stones of remembrance.
Deuteronomy 31 and the Joshua Anointing
Philip:Yes.
Zach Drew:Hey, those aren't just stones of remembrance — they're foundation stones. So when the winds of adversity blow, you remember the moments and you say, "Hey, hold on a second — that prayer in that van from Sally Bills was a real thing. That prophecy from Jim Bakker was a real thing."
Stones of Remembrance as Foundation in Adversity
Philip:I want you, if you're watching us today, to get involved in Zach's ministry. He is on a real growth curve, and growth needs support. Growing pains is true. His ministry is based out of Decatur, Illinois, and it's called the Zach Drew Show. I Go Before You International — IGBY International Ministries. You can go to ZachDrewShow.com. I encourage you today to write him a letter of encouragement, because I know how it is to climb out of your boat in a storm with everyone else saying you're crazy. Get in contact with Zach, and Zach, we're going to have your back. I believe this network is a God thing, and I believe that God can use you. And just make sure when you get your network, Daily Faith is one of those.
Zach Drew:Absolutely.
Philip:Listen, thank you for being with us. We love you so much. Father, bless everyone watching today, that the stones of their life will be foundation stones, in Jesus' name.
For over 25 years the Cameron family has been changing the lives of orphans in Romania and Moldova — from providing running water, flushing toilets, and clean wells, to coal for heat, new windows, as well as food and clothing. They have championed the physical needs of the orphans in these broken and desolate countries. Many of Moldova's orphans are saved from the horrors of trafficking through homes founded by the Camerons, and in the process orphans become daughters and sons. They come to know their heavenly Father and are forever changed by the love of Jesus. God helped the orphans — lifted these amazing young men and women out of darkness. Now, no longer orphans, they want to return and invade that very same darkness with the light of Jesus Christ.
The Orphan's Hands equips these daughters and sons to become missionaries. Your monthly gift of $31 will allow us to rescue and take in more girls and boys, saving them from the hell of human trafficking. Your monthly partnership will allow us to care for those in the Orphan's Hands homes in Moldova and Ukraine. Want to join Philip and Chrissy in taking care of these precious young people? Please contact us today by calling 833-DAILY-FAITH. You can also give by going online to www.dailyfaith.tv, or by writing to Post Office Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. So many lives depend on what we do. Thank you for loving the lost.
