Building Faith & Future – How Bishop Paul Zink Turned Prophetic Vision into Kingdom Legacy
About this episode
Bishop Paul Zink, apostolic leader of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida, joins Philip Cameron for a powerful conversation about how God-given prophetic vision becomes lasting kingdom legacy — even when doubt, fear, and the "paralysis of analysis" threaten to stop it cold.
Bishop Zink opens by sharing a conviction the Lord impressed on him that morning: "Your thoughts identify the spirits that are trying to control your life." Drawing on Proverbs 23:7 — "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" — he unpacks why believers must actively judge, reject, and accept thoughts rather than passively absorb them, especially in an era of rising youth violence and suicide.
The conversation turns to the founding of Providence School (prov.org) on Hodges Boulevard in Jacksonville — an 1,800-student K–12 institution that began with a spontaneous prophetic utterance in a Sunday service and grew into an $11 million campus built from nothing. Bishop Zink recounts the moment a retired art teacher, facing heart and brain surgery, discovered that her doctor was a former Providence student she had taught — a living parable of sowing seeds into the future. If you are wrestling with a God-given vision, this episode is your call to press through the twilight season and trust the harvest ahead.

Quotes worth sharing
“Thoughts that come to you identify the spirits that are trying to control your life. And every one of us need to judge the thoughts that we have. We live in a supernatural world, and in that supernatural world there are two entities, both of them supernatural — God and the evil. And they speak to the soul, they speak to the heart. Whatever you accept will control the rest of your life.”
“In your mind, the combustion chamber is your willingness and your faith to trust God, and then his inspiration. And when that comes together — the mind of you and the mind of heaven come together — that's when schools are built, or Bible schools are made, or orphanage buildings are built in Moldova.”
“You can analyze something to death and kill the vision that God gave you.”
What's Discussed
Bishop Paul Zink, apostolic leader of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida, shares a Spirit-led message on how thoughts reveal the supernatural forces competing for control of a believer's life, grounding his teaching in Proverbs 23:7. He recounts the founding of Providence School — a K–12 campus of nearly 1,800 students on Hodges Boulevard, Jacksonville — which began as an unplanned prophetic utterance during a Sunday service and required $11 million with no funds, curriculum, or staff in hand. A vivid story of a retired art teacher whose former student is now her surgeon illustrates the kingdom principle of sowing seeds forward into the future. Bishop Zink and Philip Cameron also explore the 'paralysis of analysis' — the spiritual warfare that strikes in the gap between receiving a prophetic word and taking the first step of obedience.
for as he thinks about the cost, so he is.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
but his heart is not with you.

Intro
Philip:Hey, welcome to Daily Faith Today. My name is Philip Cameron, and I am so glad you are with us. We have got a very special program today. One of my, well, one of the most special people of my life — I consider him my pastor — Bishop Paul Zink, who is the leader of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida, is with me today.
Philip:He is one of the greatest. I came to America 56 years ago with my dad, and he preached, and I sang, played the accordion — which Bishop Zink never lets me live down or forget. But when I came, we sang and we brought a lot of the praise music then into the initial move of God that took place in the sixties and seventies. But from there to now, if you were to ask me to name the five greatest men that I've ever met, Paul Zink is one of them. He is a great leader, a great man of God, and he's my guest today. So I'm excited for you to meet him. And every time he comes on Daily Faith, he has a word, a rainbow.
Philip:You see, the whole point of Daily Faith is to affirm you in your daily walk with Jesus. We are living in the most unbelievable days in the history of mankind. If Jesus doesn't come back at this season — I believe he is — but if he doesn't, a hundred years from now they'll be discussing this moment of history as the pivot point for world history. There is amazing tectonic plates shifting just now in politics, in nations, in philosophy, in thought process, in technology.
Philip:AI is going to look around your world. Look around the room you're sitting in right now, and I promise you, AI will affect every single thing that's in your room, including you. Watch it in the next — and this is in 20 years from now, 50 years from now — by the end of this year, they're telling us they're gonna know more new elements, as far as they can make new metals. Metals — what cars are made of and airplanes are made of — metals that will be so light and stronger than steel, because AI will be able to think in trillions of mega-whatever to create these things.
Philip:And right in the middle of all of this turmoil that's taking place, you've got to have an anchor that keeps the soul. You've got to have something in your heart that stays true to North, to keep you focused and going in the right direction. And that's your faith. Everything else will shift. But on Christ, the solid rock, I stand — all of the ground is sinking sand. I dare not trust the sweetest frame of mind, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. So Daily Faith is here to help you, to keep you grounded, to keep you focused, that there's only one answer to this world, and his name is Jesus.
Philip:So if you'd like to help us, turn on your notifications, turn on your likes, tell your friends about us so that every time we come on, subscribe to us on YouTube. If you do that, it's really simple — just youtube.com/dailyfaith. And by doing so, you can make a difference in someone else's life. We've learned that each of these segments of programming that's on social media now are programs seen on networks and local stations as well.
Philip:But as far as the social media part, this kind of pre-think that I do before we actually start the program — when you start a program, you are given a code and the code restricts you as to how far your reach can go. So someone or a machine somewhere in the system will know that we are talking about Christian things and we are pro-family and pro-life, and they immediately turn down the volume because they don't want us to be spoken about. But they can't stop you hitting the like button and the share button, and that's how you can help us grow.
Philip:And growing — we just did our numbers recently for Daily Faith, and we were amazed at how much support we are gaining. We just love you. We want you to be a part of our family. We are doing some crazy things in Moldova in the next few weeks. In the next few months ahead, we've bought two new homes. We've got a village of houses in a place called Vatra, a whole village of houses. And we'll talk about that in a few moments. So stay tuned with us, 'cause you'll be meeting my friend Bishop Paul Zink, and he's gonna speak a word of life into your heart. I'm just delighted you're here. Welcome to Daily Faith.
Philip:Hey, welcome to Daily Faith Today. My name is Philip Cameron, and I am so pleased you could join us. We have got a very special program. As I said in our little pre-program that we do before we start this one, Bishop Paul Zink is the apostolic leader of New Life Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida. He has built the most unbelievable school you have ever seen — a high school. It has a couple of thousand students. It is world class.
Philip:And you know what, in the days we're living in, the mess that America is in today is because we didn't take care of the education yesterday. We allowed the world to take over. When America was founded and made great, the church — the classroom was in the church. The doctor in the hospital was in the church. That's why most of your hospitals are Baptist and Methodist. In Scotland, the ambulance service is called St. Andrew's Ambulance Service because the church did that. And the church got lazy and they handed over the responsibility to the world.
Philip:And let me tell you something, the world sure took it. And they have perverted and twisted our value system so that a whole generation of American kids — and every other kids in the world — have been twisted by this perverted system. And my friend Bishop Paul Zink decided to do something about it. And I'd like to have him back in the future just to do a program from the school to show you. The name is Providence — God — one of my favorite names of all time.
Philip:And he's with us today. And we can't wait to let him talk to you about your destiny — what God's call for you in your life is. We have a work. 35 years ago, I adopted a wee boy from Romania. I was forced to go there by my dad. I didn't want to go. He made me go. I flew home from America to Scotland with a Bible school, and the whole small town that we come from, it brought stuff. And a convoy of us went to Romania, all grumbling all the way, just complaining.
Philip:I've got more important things to do than this. And I walked into this place, and I had two kids — Melody and Philip, my older two kids. And I told my wife Chrissy, we're not having any more kids. Two's enough. You can't educate them properly, you can't spend — oh, you know, all the reasons. And I walked into this room and I saw this wee boy standing amongst 30-odd other kids, covered in his own waste. The filthy smell of that place, as I talk to you, it never leaves my mind.
Philip:And the Lord spoke to me and said, that's your son. And I went in and I found him, picked him up, and he was all around — his head was covered in pus, and he was starving to death. And I said, I don't know how long it'll take me, or I don't know what it will take, but I will not stop until I make you my own. And that was 35 years ago. I've spent half my life because of that day in that orphanage. And today we've got crazy things going on. We moved to the next country called Moldova. My dad made me go to Moldova too.
Philip:And today we have the most amazing village in that country. When girls turned 16, they were put on the streets and traffickers get them and use them 30 to 50 times a day. And that place is a village of houses where we take them to, we put them back in school. And out of those homes have come doctors and lawyers and police officers. It's amazing how God has allowed these kids. And when they come to us, we turn them from orphans to sons and daughters, and then to missionaries.
Philip:And all through the summer, our kids at each of the village — each of the houses you're looking at in the video — each house adopts a village in the country. And for a whole year they evangelize that village. They dig all the widows' gardens and plant vegetables for them in the spring, for the summertime. They'll paint their houses, they'll help families that have poor alcoholic fathers, and clothe the kids and bring them wood. We literally give away hundreds of tons of wood all through the wintertime.
Philip:Our orphans go out and minister. That's why it's called the Orphan's Hands. It's the hands of the orphans that are changing people's lives. And this summer I had the most amazing moment. My two eldest granddaughters went to Moldova and spent the summer all by themselves, living in the homes with the kids and going on the mission field to evangelize. And my 13-year-old granddaughter called Kara, while there, made a videotape and sent it to her granddad. I'm one of the proudest granddads in the world. Watch this.
Kara:Hi, I am Kara. I have been in Moldova for five weeks and I've been to two camps so far. At these camps, we taught kids about the word of God and the love of Jesus. Now, yes, there was a language barrier between me and them, but it still touched me to be able to hang out with the kids and entertain them, since this is something that they wait for through the entire year.
Kara:It was definitely a different experience compared to other camps I've been to. Showers were outside, cold. We ate meals with everybody outside. It was a really fun experience though, 'cause it was something completely different to what I experience in America. I feel absolutely honored to be able to have that opportunity to go to these kinds of camps, to help kids and get such an experience that it'll leave an impact on me for the rest of my life.
Kara:I saw how a lot of these kids lived and it really just broke me to see that such poor conditions is what those kids have to stay in for most of their lives. And compared to the camps, I feel like it seemed like some kind of luxury paradise for them. Some of the kids came in the same clothes every day 'cause they didn't have anything else really to wear. So the fact that they can come and learn about God and how they're loved by God really just makes me feel — I'm just happy those kids get a chance. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be here in Moldova. It has been such an experience that has made such an impact on my life. I will remember these days for the rest of my life.
Philip:I'm a rich granddad when I'm watching that. Have your 13-year-old granddaughter get off the plane, and the first thing she said was, granddad, when can I go back to this country?
Philip:These kids live in the most horrendous circumstances right this minute. We have Vatra Village that I shared with you about. We took a 14-year-old girl in, and we were meant to only have 16 and older. And she came from such a horrible background that we made an exception and took her in to be with us at 14. And the authorities found out and made us drive her back to hell — to a village, a horrendous family situation. And within 10 days of going back to the village, she was gang raped, lost her mind.
Philip:And the young woman that drove her back to the village said, I'll never do that again. I'll never take a kid back again to hell. Never do it. And we've been working and looking, and we found an amazing place — two homes on the western side of Moldova, two homes with 20 acres of land and a barn, which we're gonna turn into a youth camp. And we're gonna turn that place into homes, two homes for children between the age of six and 14, so that instead of having to live through that hell, they're gonna come to us young and we're gonna raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. And then when they're 16, they can go to Vatra and then go to education and go to universities and change people's lives.
Philip:If you don't have a call in your life, if you don't have a why in your life, you've gotta find that why. That why will keep you going when nothing else will. That why will make you get up in the morning when nothing else will. And when you find your why, you'll know about it. And I'd love you to find your why with the Orphan's Hands. We need to grow, finish these two buildings. We need to grow our support. Every new house we open is 300 people giving a dollar a day — that's how I see it.
Philip:And if you'd like to help us, if you'd like to say, Philip, I can give to help finish these two new homes — I can give a dollar a day. A dollar a day won't change your world, but for those little kids in that video, I can promise you a dollar a day will change their world. And you can give today by contacting us. It's really simple. You can write us at P.O. Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. You can also go to dailyfaith.tv — there's a giving page there — and just say, I wanna support the kids. I'll give a dollar today. Or here's a hundred dollars towards finishing the houses, or a thousand dollars.
Philip:Someone's watching today, and this is what I'm praying for — that someone will talk to God, will talk to someone to say, I want to sponsor a whole house. Maybe you have a need you can't fix, but you've got money and that doesn't meet your need. But by giving into the Kingdom of God an eternal gift, a legacy gift, that will allow us to take 50 little kids and save them from hell — you can do that today. You can also go to orphanshands.org, or you can call us at 1-833-DAILYFAITH. Do it today. And I believe God will honor you and bless you — as you sow, you shall reap.
Philip:And my friend today, Bishop Zink, is with me and he's got a granddaughter. He knows what I'm talking about because he's got a granddaughter, Hannah, who is on the mission field right now with her husband Michael. And I watch and follow her. And Bishop Zink, I am so thrilled and honored to have you with me today.
Paul Zink:God bless you, Philip. It's great to be with you today. And I tell you, we live in a different world than we did 10 years ago.
Philip:10 years ago. It's just totally different.
Paul Zink:And I'm so thrilled to be able to share with you and your audience today, because I know that the Lord has something major — hallelujah — in store for this world. He's got to step in, he's got to do something different. But the people have to help him. We're his hands and his feet.
Thoughts Reveal Controlling Spirits
Philip:Yes, we are. We're the Orphan's Hands. Well, we're sons of God's hands.
Paul Zink:Absolutely. But Philip, I just had a real strong indication from the Lord this morning — early this morning — about what I should share with you today. And basically, that your thoughts — thoughts that come to you — identify the spirits that are trying to control your life. And that every one of us need to judge the thoughts that we have.
Paul Zink:We live in a supernatural world, and in that supernatural world there are two entities, both of them supernatural — God and the evil. And they speak to the soul, they speak to the heart. And it's so important for us to listen to what is coming in our mind and judge thoughts. We've gotta judge the thoughts and reject thoughts and accept thoughts. But whatever you accept will control the rest of your life.
Philip:The Bible says, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
Paul Zink:That's exactly right. I wrote that scripture down for this purpose today.
Philip:Wow. You're right in tune with what I'm saying.
Youth Violence and the Battle of the Mind
Paul Zink:Absolutely. Because we are constantly — there's more youth suicide today than ever before. What's up with all the violence? Where do those thoughts come from? It's unbelievable. People going out just killing people without giving a thought to it. And it seems like they say, well, the media picks it up and we never used to hear these things. Well, I'm telling you, it has increased.
Paul Zink:And people — youth — are listening. They're giving their mind the thoughts, and so they think, well, maybe that's what I can end up doing and being, and be part of.
Philip:Well, we're going back to your school, Providence, which is the most amazing place. It's the most amazing school I've ever seen. But what's happened is we've had a generation where prayer was taken out of school, abortion was legalized, life was diminished to no value whatsoever.
Paul Zink:It's true.
Philip:So when I was a boy, if a girl got a hickey in church, it was a major crisis in the church. Remember those days?
Paul Zink:Yeah. Listen, if you gave it to him — no, I did not. No, no, no.
Philip:That's not true. But my dad would've killed me, I'll tell you now. But what I'm saying is the whole value system has been eroded. And unless we start building the bulwarks back, we are, as hands and feet, the ones that will bring this kingdom down to earth.
Philip:And we are seeing things that I'm sure you would never have believed — the world we're living in today — when I first met you, when you were 19 years of age.
Paul Zink:No. You know, Philip, I was called to go to the hospital six or seven days ago for a teacher who was at our school. She's probably the finest art teacher I've ever met in my life. I mean, seriously, this woman is extremely talented. And her young people that she's teaching — their art is so powerful that they hang it in the hallways of Jacksonville International Airport. They've won awards. It's just amazing.
Providence School's Prophetic Origin
Paul Zink:But she's having some major heart problems and a brain bleed. So I went to see her, and she'd been retired for five years, I guess. And I went to see her and she saw me, she broke into tears, and we talked a little bit. And she said, I want you to know something. My doctor who's walking me through this — I'm getting ready to have heart surgery and brain surgery — that doctor I taught at Providence School as one of my students, and now I'm here and he's saving my life.
Philip:Oh my Lord. Now you think about God giving us that prophetic word to start the school, and where we are today.
Paul Zink:We're right at 1,800 students. And here I go, visit this precious woman, extremely talented, and one of the students she taught is now her doctor saving her life.
Art Teacher Healed by Her Former Student
Philip:And that's the whole key of the kingdom. The key of the kingdom is — don't throw your seeds backwards. Throw your seeds forwards. Throw your seed into your future, 'cause that's where your harvest is.
Paul Zink:No question about it. I'm telling you, that thrilled me to go in there and hear what she said. And it's just amazing to realize you never know what you are doing in your life that could end up saving people's lives in the future.
Philip:Absolutely. Well, you're talking about the mind and the thoughts. I remember you talking to us — I was a board member back then — and I remember you talking to us about how the Lord had spoken to you, that you are gonna build this school. And I'll be frank with you, I'll be honest with you now, that it was too big for my mind to even grasp. And you're gonna talk about this, and I'm thinking, how can you do that? But the ability comes from the Lord.
Paul Zink:Absolutely. But the mind spark — the spark plug in your head that makes you think things — that's a mixture, like a gasoline engine. Gas and air come together in the combustion chamber, and that's what makes the engine pop. In your mind, the combustion chamber is your willingness and your faith to trust God, and then his inspiration. And when that comes together — the mind of you and the mind of heaven come together — that's when schools are built, or Bible schools are made, or orphanage buildings are built in Moldova.
Paul Zink:It was the scariest thing that I ever had to face. I've told you and your audience before that it came through a prophetic word on a Sunday morning. I had no intention whatsoever to build this school. And I'm up teaching, and all of a sudden the Holy Spirit — I pause and I open my mouth and the Holy Spirit starts speaking through me about this school. And he prophesied this school in front of my congregation. At that time it was probably 3,000 people.
Paul Zink:And I thought, oh boy, they're gonna be upset. Do you know, the whole congregation stood and applauded.
Philip:Wow.
Paul Zink:And the scripture says where two or three agree, so agreement came. But it still was the hardest thing I ever did. I thought thoughts of failure. I thought financial disaster. I thought things that could derail this whole thing. But it was a prophetic word from God.
Paralysis of Analysis in Spiritual Warfare
Paul Zink:And so I had to sink my teeth into it. You have to make a covenant with the prophetic words that God gives you.
Philip:Absolutely. And that's what he has done. There's a twilight season — I don't know if it's the same with you as it is in my experience — the divine thought comes, a spark goes off in your spirit and you see a Bible school, you see a village of houses in Moldova. It's the same concept. And suddenly this thing goes off. But there's a lag between the rhema that comes to you and the first shovel of earth in the ground, or the first purchase. And in that space is where hell breaks out. That's when every demon in hell will come against you and try to use circumstance, use mind thoughts, whatever it is. He has got to stop you from getting to the start line. Because when you get there, then heaven comes, and heaven attends you to see miracles happen.
Philip:That's the paralysis of analysis. You start analyzing — write that down somebody — the paralysis of analysis. You start analyzing and you just think, I can't see how it can be done. It's impossible.
Paul Zink:Absolutely. And it brings a paralysis. You freeze. And you think, well, maybe if I just stop, it'll go away and people will forget.
Philip:No, you've got to push. You gotta fight.
Paul Zink:Yeah, it's war. Absolutely. It's a spiritual war. The paralysis of analysis is a spiritual war.
Philip:Oh my. I stood with Andrew in Vatra Village and it was the darkest days of my life. I was going through a tremendous battle. Every instinct I had was to run away, hide under a rock. And I'm standing with these houses that were brand new but had never been lived in, and were now falling apart because they'd poisoned the lake. The lake right next to it had algae, and then in their genius they put chloride into the lake and killed everything, including these houses. And I'm standing talking to Andrew and that paralysis of analysis — I had to fight through the demons of doubt.
Philip:And I looked at Andrew on a cold, miserable, damp day and I said, Andrew, we have no choice.
Paul Zink:That's right.
Philip:We have no choice. I flew home. Marcus Lamb texted me from the White House with a photograph of him and President Trump. He said, look where I am. And I texted him right back and said, that's nothing. I just bought a village.
Paul Zink:He texted you back and said, how are you paying for the village you just bought?
Philip:I said, I'm believing God for folk to help me. He texted me right back and said, we want to sponsor the first house.
Paul Zink:Wow.
Philip:If there hadn't been that yes on the grass at Vatra Village, the miracle — TCT bought one, CTN bought one, a great church out in Frisco, Texas bought one. God opened the windows of heaven and blessed us because we stood up in the dark, the twilight moments. When the four leper men are outside the city, and if they go in they die, if they go to the enemy they die, and they say, let's get up and walk towards the enemy — that's where the victory comes.
Paul Zink:Yeah, yeah. The battle in your mind — that is the battleground. And what do you give your thoughts to? Jesus said, why take ye thought? Remember where he said that?
Philip:Yes. Yeah. So you gotta be careful about taking a thought and speaking it.
Paul Zink:My goodness. And I had my staff, and they came to me and said, was this a God prophecy or was this a hope prophecy out of your own world? And I really thought about that. One of the great evangelists — even today people just adore this evangelist — he came to me and said, that's not what God's telling you to do. He said, God wants you to build your church to be a revival center.
Choosing God's Voice Over Other Ministers
Paul Zink:And so I'm thinking, well, who do I listen to? What voice am I gonna listen to? And it came down to — I had a choice. You're gonna be influenced by what other ministers think, or what God thinks. That sounds simple, but buddy, it was not simple. I had the hardest time keeping from wavering. A paralysis of analysis — I'd analyze it. I'd never built anything like this.
Paul Zink:It was a very difficult thing. And the Lord didn't tell me just to build one or two grades a year. He said, build it from the beginning to end, K through 12. Build a building — turned out to be an $11 million project. I didn't have $1 for it. I didn't have any curriculum. I didn't have one educator. I had nothing. But God said, do it.
Building an $11 Million School from Nothing
Paul Zink:And so I'd start analyzing, well, how am I gonna do this? Where do I get a head of school? How do I hire teachers? I don't have a curriculum. I don't have any money. How is this gonna happen? And you can analyze something to death and kill the vision that God gave you.
Philip:Oh, that's the truth. So it's so important. And I've watched you go through these same kind of battles. And thank God you have a legacy. You're living a legacy that can be followed and mimicked over and over. And that's the thing — if you would concentrate on New Life just being a revival center, revival ebbs and flows. That's the nature of revival. But by having a school, you have established an entire legacy, so that doctors are saving their teachers' lives.
Philip:Now a revival wouldn't have that. There's a revival, a spiritual revival, but there's also a cultural revival. And what America needs is both — we need a spiritual move of God, but we also need a cultural revival.
Paul Zink:If you're watching this — speaking of that — our governor just took one of our graduates and gave him a post as a judge, a criminal judge in Jacksonville. And he has just sold out to the Lord Jesus, all because of that Providence School.
Philip:If you're watching today and you are in the agony of decision — will I do it, will I not do it — because that's what everything happens right this minute. We've got these two homes we've just signed contracts with to build. The shells — one's finished, it needs all the furnishing. One isn't finished. And then we've got this barn. And I'm looking at $600,000 right now we've gotta have. And I've been having trouble with my voice, so I can't speak like I used to, travel and everything. All of it comes down like a pressure cooker. And you've gotta decide in that moment, what am I going to do?
Legacy of Christian Education in Culture
Philip:And if you are watching us just now and you are being tortured, you are in that agony of analysis and you're thinking — what I'm gonna tell you something — if you press through, God is going to meet your need like you can't even imagine. And Providence School is in Jacksonville. It's on Hodges Boulevard. Go check it out if you would. The website is prov.org. Check out what this man's faith created — I'm talking about out of thin air, from a prophetic utterance in a service in New Life Church.
Philip:So the church and the school sit side by side as a testament to this man's faith. And you are God's man for your moment in your place. And if you'll obey him, there is nothing God cannot do.
Philip:We've got about 30 seconds to go. Bishop, thank you so much for being with me today. I want you to come back here on a regular basis, because every time I talk to you, my faith is lifted up. Thank you for watching Daily Faith. We'll see you again soon. We love you. Bye-bye.
Common questions
How did Bishop Zink first get the vision to build Providence School?
It came completely unexpectedly through a spontaneous prophetic word during a Sunday morning service. He had no intention of building a school — he was mid-teaching when the Holy Spirit spoke through him and prophesied the school in front of roughly 3,000 people. To his surprise, the entire congregation stood and applauded.
What did it actually take to get Providence School off the ground — did he have any resources?
By his own account, he had nothing — no money, no curriculum, no educators, and no head of school. God told him to build it K through 12 from the start, which turned into an $11 million project. He had to push through what he calls the 'paralysis of analysis' and trust that the resources would follow the obedience.
What's a recent example of the school's long-term impact that moved Bishop Zink?
He was called to the hospital to visit a beloved art teacher from Providence who was facing both heart surgery and brain surgery. When he arrived, she told him that the doctor guiding her through the procedures was one of her former students from Providence School — a student she had taught years earlier was now saving her life.
What does Bishop Zink say about the thoughts that come into your mind?
He believes your thoughts reveal which spiritual forces are trying to control your life, since we live in a supernatural world where both God and evil speak to the soul. He says every person needs to actively judge their thoughts — rejecting some and accepting others — because whatever thoughts you accept will ultimately shape and control the direction of your life.
