Craig Walker on Trusting God's Last-Minute Miracles and End-Time Harvest
About this episode
Craig Walker, lead pastor of Upward Church in Pensacola, Florida — with additional campuses across the country — joins Philip Cameron for a conversation rooted in one of the most urgent messages of our time: God specializes in showing up at the very last minute. Drawing from his book "Last Minute God," Walker shares how a viral blog post became a Spirit-led mandate to document the pattern of divine intervention that runs throughout Scripture and real-life ministry.
Walker recounts a stunning story of a man who, mid-flight over the Atlantic Ocean at 35,000 feet, heard the Holy Spirit tell him to reroute to Aberdeen, Scotland and deliver a financial miracle to a struggling Bible school — arriving with exactly the amount needed before the bank could foreclose. He also shares a live radio call-in from a pastor in Uganda who, after hearing Walker preach on the last-minute God, unpacked his suitcase and chose to stay in a village where his wife and children had been killed for the gospel.
"I love your company," Walker says the Holy Spirit told him at a traffic light during a desperate season — revealing why God sometimes withholds the miracle until the final hour. With over 868,000 people coming to Christ this year through his global evangelism teams, primarily in Pakistan and across Africa, Walker calls this the End-Time Harvest. His book is available at craigwalker.org/books or on Amazon. Learn more about Upward Church at upwardchurch.org.
Pastor Craig Walker of Upward Church in Pensacola, Florida shares the message behind his book 'Last Minute God' — the biblical and real-world pattern of God intervening at the 12:59 hour. Walker reports that over 868,000 people have come to Christ this year through his global evangelism teams, primarily in Pakistan and across Africa, calling it the End-Time Harvest. He recounts two gripping stories: a man rerouted mid-Atlantic flight by the Holy Spirit to deliver an exact financial miracle to a Scottish Bible school, and a Ugandan pastor who chose to stay in a hostile village after hearing Walker's radio broadcast. Walker also reveals the personal word God spoke to him at a traffic light — 'I love your company' — explaining why God sometimes delays the miracle to deepen intimacy.

Intro
Philip:Hello, my name is Philip Cameron and you have found Daily Faith. I'm so glad you could be with us. We have a word from the Lord for you on this program. Craig Walker from Upward Church in Pensacola and other campuses around the country is with me today. He is an amazing man of God. He is reaching around the world. He has found a way to present the gospel. 850,000 people have made a decision for Christ this year by his preaching around the world and the teams that he now has associated with it. It's mind-blowing what God is doing, and we're excited to have him as our guest. He has a book that I want you to get, so be aware of that.
Philip:I want you to join with us every Monday evening at 9 o'clock. We are on CTN and we have some great shows there, and also you can get that on DirecTV East Channel 376, Dish 262, and Glory Star is 117. Please join us there. And also, if you go to DailyFaith.tv, that's like the archives of all the shows we do and they can find us there, and you'll be blessed by doing that.
Philip:I want to talk to you for a few moments about something that is very, very critical. You've been watching over the last months. Now this horrendous war of attrition is taking place in Ukraine. Through no fault of their own, these people wanted to be independent from Russia. Russia sees Ukraine as part of its empire. In fact, in Europe there's always been a saying: Russia by itself is a country, Russia with Ukraine is an empire. And Putin has decided to reconfigure the Russian Empire, and Ukraine is his first target. And as you know, thousands, tens of thousands of people have been killed. This war's been going on for years. It's come into the news recently. We've been supporting refugees from this ministry for more than eight years, before years in the Donbas region, which is where it started out.
Philip:It's been going on for years and we quietly, our ministry has been helping people and helping refugees and supporting people that have no hope, run away for their lives literally. We've been going up to the war zone and feeding people for eight years, and then it exploded in a larger way when he tried to get to Kyiv, the capital. And so what's happening at the moment is he is grinding and trying to capture down the Black Sea, and in Odessa, which is on the Black Sea, 70% of all product, all commerce comes in and out of Odessa, and his ultimate goal is to get to Odessa. We've had a home there for years. We have girls that we have supported for years.
Philip:And when this thing happened we had to get them out of Ukraine and take them to Moldova. And I just got this video the other day and I want you to watch what's happening, and I need to pray with you about something that is very critical that we are believing God for right now. You're gonna love this, watch this.
God challenged us to open a home. You know this, years ago. We looked for many months to find a place big enough to make a difference in young girls' lives. We finally found the perfect place that can house 24 girls. We signed a long-term lease with the owner, and it has just ended. At the moment we are able to house the Ukrainian girls in Moldova, but as the war drags on there is pressure to have those who escaped the Russian invasion to return to Ukraine. Moldova simply cannot afford the cost of maintaining so many refugees.
Many have returned to Ukraine. Many have left for Europe and the USA and will never return. Our girls wait every day to return to their homeland. If their home is sold, there will be nowhere for them to go.
In the natural it seems impossible. We have already strained every sinew in our ministry this year to care for thousands of destitute lives. We are about to send at least two containers packed with warm clothes to help these lost souls survive the brutal winter. But what about the young lives we already committed to protecting? Where would they go?
Can you imagine handing them a bus ticket to a war zone and telling them, you are on your own, we have nowhere for you to go, your home has been sold? How would they survive in a country stuck in the no man's land of war? We are going to believe God to buy this special place. We will continue our work in Ukraine and trust him for protection as the days ahead unfold. We will be right there in the middle of tragic events, with a place of refuge for young girls to find rest in a home provided by loving hearts.
If God moves, the home we need is already waiting. We just need you. Will you pray? Will you give? I'm certain everyone who could wouldn't even hesitate to help this miracle take place. That is how this huge door of opportunity could open. We can minister to these dear souls for years to come and be a beacon of hope in a bleak battlefield of despair.
Philip:I need you to pray. This, to the natural mind, is crazy. We are going to buy a home in a war zone. If Ukraine wins, they will be in desperate need and this house will be needed desperately. If Russia wins, there will be hunger and devastation in the country like you can't imagine, and the home will be needed even more. So I'm prepared to take the risk, to believe God for this house. When the Lord challenged me with this and we discovered the house was being sold, the Lord spoke to me and challenged me to give two thousand dollars. And he said, are you prepared to risk $2,000 and losing it to save 24 girls' lives? And I didn't have to think twice, as I believe God for that.
Philip:So what's happening is we are asking people to believe with us for a gift of $2,000. If I can get a hundred people to give $2,000 in the next 30 days, we will have the house secured and owned and our girls will have somewhere to go when they go back to Ukraine. Will you pray? Can you help me make this miracle happen? As I said, to the natural mind it's insane — who buys a house in the middle of a war? God's folks do. Jesus went to the cross — that's insane. How do you put the Son of God on a cross and allow them to butcher the diadem of heaven? But God so loved the world that he gave, in the war of all time.
Philip:And we are just believing God in this season. And I know there are reasons not to give, there's all the economic things, but I believe that God has a hundred people watching us to say, well, we can believe God for $2,000. Please pray about helping us. You are important. This is a crisis in these little girls' lives. Each one of these kids caught by a trafficker is worth three hundred thousand dollars a year in income to the trafficker. If she's worth three hundred thousand dollars to a trafficker, surely there's a hundred people that can believe God for $2,000 to make this miracle take place.
Philip:I believe you're watching right now because God wants you to be a part of this. Let the Lord speak to you and I believe we can see a miracle. The address is really simple. It's just The Orphan's Hands — The Orphan's Hands, because our kids are helping, their hands are the providers to these refugees. PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. The Orphan's Hands, PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee. You can go to DailyFaith.tv, there's a donate button there, you can reach us through there. Or if you wish you can go to Daily Faith, 1-833, and call this number, 1-833, and there's dial Daily Faith on your keypad of your phone and someone will pick up the phone personally and you can be a part with us today.
Philip:If you give today, every gift is important, small and large. Whatever you can give, you're helping us make this miracle happen. The house is a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. We're going to furnish it and we're going to buy a vehicle so that if anything happens, if the Russians get close — because they are raping women as they find them — if they start moving towards Odessa, we will have a vehicle to transport our girls back to Moldova immediately. And that's part of this money that we're believing God for.
Philip:Anything you can give, I'll send you this book called Our Bummer Lamb. It's the story of how this whole miracle started 33 years ago when I adopted an orphan in Romania, and God used that miracle to stir in me what we're doing today, 33 years later. So get this book. A bummer lamb is a lamb that has been rejected by its mother. If the shepherd doesn't intervene, the mother will kill its own baby. And we rescue bummer lambs. So once again, PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. DailyFaith.tv, you can give right now on your charge card, or you can go to 1-833 Daily Faith. Be a part of this miracle in Jesus' name.
Philip:I am delighted to have Craig Walker with us. I meet a lot of folks in my life, and once in a while you meet someone you think you've known forever, and he's one of these men. A great man of God. And he wants to share with us a truth that I believe is absolutely important. Many books, but the Lord has put something on his heart that I believe is important for you to hear at the time that you're living in right now. And Craig, I'm delighted that I have you with us. God bless you, my friend. How are you doing? Tell us about this 850,000 souls you've been able to lead to the Lord this year. This is crazy.
Craig Walker:Yeah, the Lord is blessing. It's the end-time harvest, Philip, and we're neck deep in it. And we're seeing people come to Christ. It's really a snowball effect. I remember an eight-year period when we only saw 10,000 people come to Christ — only. And then it went to triple, 230,000 the next year, went to 500,000, and this year we're a little over 868,000 people coming to Christ, mostly in Pakistan and all throughout Africa. God is moving and we've got to lift our eyes because the end-time harvest is coming in right now.
868,000 Souls and the End-Time Harvest
Craig Walker:You can make a decision today watching this program. You can be part of the problem or part of the answer. And a lot of folk, when times are tough — and let me tell you, if you're in Ukraine you know tough times. We're in inconvenient times in America. Tough times is when you're over there and you've lost everything and your husband can't leave the country because he's got to fight if he's between 18 and 65, and you've had to grab your kids, run for your life, and you're stuck in a great big concrete building somewhere with no money, nowhere to go, no coat to drive, nothing, don't understand the language. That's crisis.
Craig Walker:But I believe that God is stirring people to realize if we don't do it, if we don't stand up and be counted in these days, then the devil's gonna run over us with a steamroller. And I'm just so thankful for men like you that have this world vision. It just blows me away, Craig — you've managed to do this, and you have a book that you wrote, and I believe it's a timely word for the day we're living in.
Craig Walker:I wrote a book called Last Minute God. I had done a blog for three years and after doing that blog one day, the Lord said, I want you to go back and look at the top blog that you posted that had the most hits, the most views. And the title of that blog was Last Minute God. And God began to speak to me saying, I need you to put this in book form. And the thesis of the book is God very often and purposely comes through at the very last minute, at the 12:59 hour. He comes through, and in almost any problem we're faced with we can find an example in scripture where God came through at the last minute. So it's a book of hope for everybody in crisis.
The Book Last Minute God Explained
Philip:It is so appropriate for today. I mean, we're living in a day — I've been in America for 53 years and I've never seen America in the mess it's in right now. But I believe there are still those that have not bowed the knee to Baal, and I still believe there's a remnant of Christians in our generation that are praying and asking God to have mercy on this country. And I am expecting God to show up as our last-minute God and intervene in the affairs of this country.
Craig Walker:Yeah, and you know, I want to remind the viewers that Peter was down to the very last night before his execution. You say, well, why didn't God come a week early? But God has his own time frame. And God has a time frame for our country. God has not forgotten us. God knows that we have sent the gospel around the world. The blood of missionaries has come from this root called America, and I believe God is going to come through. At the very last minute perhaps, but he is going to come through for the people, the remnant that truly follow him, that have overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and they love not their lives unto death. God is going to come through for those people. Those are his people.
Why God Waits Until the Last Minute
Craig Walker:I was sitting one day at a traffic light — one of those moments that's imprinted in my mind — and we needed a miracle. When you do mission work you always need miracles. And I was sitting at this traffic light praying, and I'm saying, Lord, I've been praying for days over this particular need at the time. And I got mad and I said, God, why is it that you keep me at the very end? Why don't you — why can't I look cool once in my life? Why do I have to get desperate and hold on to you? And I'm sick of this, just meet this need. And quick as a flash the Holy Ghost said to me, I love your company. He said, if I give you everything you needed when you wanted it, you'd be so busy doing the work of the Lord that you wouldn't be coming to my knee and asking me and spending time in my presence.
Craig Walker:And sometimes God holds off the miracle we are praying for to draw us to him and pull us into his presence and make us understand that this world is not our source, that he is, and in him we live and move and have our being. And sometimes the last minute — and you're watching today, I just know this, I can feel the Holy Ghost as you've been talking — you're watching this now and you are in a situation thinking, my God, why has he forsaken me, why am I in this mess? I'm here for you. God is about to show up. And as I said, it might be the last minute, but he never fails at the last minute. And so trust him in your circumstance.
Ugandan Pastor Unpacks His Suitcase
Craig Walker:You know, Philip, you reminded me of a story. I was doing a radio broadcast in Uganda and we had call-ins at the end of the show, and I was preaching about the last-minute God. And a pastor called in that was in a very remote part of Uganda, and he called in and this is what he said. He said, I moved into this village with the black magic and the witch doctors to preach Jesus. He said, they killed my wife, they killed my children. He said, I was literally packing my suitcase to give up and leave this village. He said, but after hearing you talk about the last-minute God, as I'm speaking to you I am unpacking my bag. I will stand for Christ and he will be preached in this village. He is the last-minute God.
Atlantic Ocean Miracle for Scottish Bible School
Philip:Yes, and he knows where everybody is right now. He knows your problem. But never let go of hope, never let go of hope. God will come through for you. He always does. We built the Bible school in Scotland years ago, and we ran out of money. The bank threatened to close and foreclose on the property — very valuable property. And we were in church one Sunday morning and this fellow walked into this little church that we built in Scotland, him and his wife and another friend. And we had to have a certain amount of money the next morning or the bank would start moving on the property. And when Christy and I — my wife and I — counted the offering after the morning service, it was exactly what we needed, tens of thousands of dollars needed.
Philip:And this man, he came in — I remember a big white raincoat on him — and my dad says, where are you from? He says, I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And I was across the Atlantic Ocean last night and the Holy Ghost spoke to me and said, break your trip in London, fly to Aberdeen, Scotland, and go and see Simon Cameron. He says, I got to Aberdeen this morning and the only thing I could find was a bus. He rented a 40-passenger bus from Aberdeen to drive to where we were, and he gave us the money, got back in the bus, went back to Aberdeen, and continued his round-the-world journey. And God had sent this man in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at 35,000 feet, flying at 600 miles an hour. He said, I have someone in need that I need you to get to them tomorrow.
Philip:And so I just know, I just know in my spirit, that what you're talking about — and you've written this book — we don't have a copy of it here sadly, Craig, but do you have a copy there that we can see? Right here, this book. Last Minute God is a book that you need to get. It is being translated in many different languages and I want you to avail yourself. You can get it very simply at CraigWalker.org. Is that the best address for you? Or they can get on Amazon.com, they can go right to Amazon and order Last Minute God.
Philip:And if you are facing a crisis that you need God to intervene in today, he has caused you to be here. There are no mistakes in God, there is no coincidence in God. You are watching this program because the Holy Ghost wants to use us to speak faith into your life, that the battle isn't over, that God is going to be exalted. He protects his name, and when we ask anything in his name, you stir God to action. And right now in the name of Jesus, as you're watching this program, I speak faith into your heart that the circumstance you're facing will not destroy you — it is going to be the source of blessing and strengthen you.
Philip:The clouds that you fear on your horizons are going to be clouds of blessing and not clouds of destruction, in the name of Jesus. And I take authority over fear and doubt and all the stuff that the devil put in your spirit, and I release you to understand that you serve a last-minute God in the name of Jesus. Go to that address right now, CraigWalker.org forward slash books, or go to Amazon and say, I need this word in my spirit today, in the name of Jesus.
Philip:Craig, this is just fabulous stuff. And the whole of scripture is replete with God being there at the last minute. Israel — they've got the Egyptians chasing them with the Red Sea on one side and a mad Pharaoh on the other side, and the Bible says that God turned the cloud to protect the children of Israel. So when the enemy was looking for them all night, they couldn't find the people for the cloud, the presence of God. And I sense a prophetic word that he's going to hide you in his cloud today, that the enemy will not be able to get to you where you are, in Jesus' name. Hallelujah.
Craig Walker:Well, you know, the scripture says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So as you go through the stories of the last-minute God coming through — through weather, through angels, through circumstance — hallelujah, every possible way, yes, build your faith to say, if he did it for them, he'll do it for me. And that's what somebody needs to hear today. It may seem impossible, but I'm telling you, God specializes in the impossible. And you're not on this show by accident. You didn't just wander in here. God is saying, hold on, hold on to hope. There's a life preserver on this cover because that's what this book is. It's a life preserver thrown to you right before you sink. Hold on, because the last-minute God is on a rescue mission for you today.
Philip:Hallelujah. I can really — I can sense, Craig, I can sense so powerfully that there's someone watching and you have just — despair has been like an anchor hauling you down under the water. And God is going to tell you he's gonna lift you up on angel's wings, that no weapon formed against you — you may have had bad news in the mail this morning, I don't know what your circumstances are, but God is on your side. And you need to get this book. I'm gonna give the address one more time. So you know, order the book today. Our ministry doesn't get any money from this, and I just want to get this into your life because it's important. Very simple, you can go to Amazon, Last Minute God by Craig Walker, or you can go directly to him at CraigWalker.org forward slash books and order that today.
Philip:Let me say this — his church in Pensacola has other campuses, one in Virginia and others. Every year in the Pensacola area I've been in this church. It is anointed. Everything about it, the excellence, how they present the gospel — they will make you feel like you belong there. I promise you, if ever you're in the Pensacola area, go and see my friend and be a part of this miracle. Craig, it's been just a delight to have you today. Give us a final thought before we leave.
David at Ziklag — Encouraging Yourself in the Lord
Craig Walker:I just want to remind people, you know, when you're in the crisis the devil will say to you, no one's — it's never been this bad for anybody else, or he'll bless somebody else but it's not going to happen for you. Listen, the devil is a liar, a liar. He said it, it's a lie. He's the father of all lies. You've got to quit listening to him and you've got to start reading the word of God, putting it in your heart. Read about these last-minute deliverances and I'll tell you, faith will begin to lift you above the circumstances. You'll be like David down in that ash pit at Ziklag when they were going to stone him, his wife and children were gone, the village was burnt, he lost everything it seemed like. But the Bible says he encouraged himself in the Lord and he spoke to his soul. He said, soul, why so downcast, oh my soul? Put your hope — talk to yourself, speak to your soul.
Craig Walker:Speak to yourself what God says and not what your circumstances say. You are not conditioned by your circumstances. You can take a lobster and put it in a pan of water and begin to heat the pan and the lobster doesn't get the fact that it's being boiled because the temperature is gradually rising. But you have a thermometer inside you called the Holy Ghost, and no matter who's against you, no matter what weapon is formed against you, something inside you is bigger — the Christ in you, which is the hope of glory. Think of that statement: Christ in me, the hope of glory. It is a massive, massive statement, and God has invested Jesus into you because he will not let you fail.
Christ in You the Hope of Glory
Philip:And this book, once again Craig — I just know that this program today has been — we've gone off the end of the program, so we have another minute left before we go off the air. But I just want you to know that God is using you to speak, and I hope that folk in the Pensacola area or someone ever going through that part of Florida will come and see you. Give us the address again, how to get a hold of you.
Craig Walker:They can go to UpwardChurch.org. That's a great way to get a hold of us and we would love to hear from them, and we will always have a home for you here when you come through Pensacola.
Philip:We got to go. We love you. Thank you so much for being part of Daily Faith today. You'll see us again. Thank you, Craig. Bye-bye.
