Daily Faith with Philip Cameron: Special Guest Jeff Ferguson
About this episode
Songwriter, minister, and creative visionary Jeff Ferguson joins Philip Cameron for a rich conversation about the power of authentic faith and the freedom that comes from embracing who God made you to be. Drawing on decades of ministry experience, Jeff shares how a pivotal moment in a recording studio in the 1990s taught him to trust his God-given instincts — a lesson he has carried into every area of his life and calling ever since.
Jeff unpacks Revelation 12:11 — overcoming "by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony" — reminding viewers that personal testimony doesn't just set the speaker free; it unlocks breakthrough for countless others. He recounts a profound prayer walk at Nancy Dre's Holy Ghost Winter Camp Meeting in Southern California, where he sensed a rare invitation from God and asked for four specific gifts: wisdom, long life in good health, favor, and a soul-winning anointing. The conversation also spotlights Jeff's creative ministries, including Tabitha's Toolbox (a no-charge handyman service for widows), Tabitha's Table, Tabitha's Tea Party, and Voices of Wisdom (VOW), a ministry championing believers 50 and over.
Tune in daily at noon on Jeff's Facebook page or visit jeffferguson.com to catch his popular "12 Minutes at 12" broadcast. This episode is a timely encouragement for anyone who has ever doubted whether who they are is enough for the kingdom of God.
“The anointing equalizes. If you are not brilliant, get anointed. He'll elevate who you are by the anointing. And it's the anointing that breaks the yoke, not your gift or your talent.”
“There is a remedy, there is a vaccine, there is an antidote to this accusation that would try to distract us from the call of God and strip us of our confidence. And that is the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and serving the Lord so much we would die for the gospel.”
“Every girl you're watching is worth $300,000 to a trafficker. I think they're worth a dollar a day for the church.”
What's Discussed
Jeff Ferguson, songwriter and minister based in The Land, Florida, joins Philip Cameron to explore what it means to walk confidently in the unique identity God has given each believer. Jeff cites Revelation 12:11 on overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony, and shares a defining prayer walk at Nancy Dre's Holy Ghost Winter Camp Meeting where he asked God for wisdom, long life, favor, and a soul-winning anointing. He describes building creative outreach ministries — Tabitha's Toolbox, Tabitha's Table, Tabitha's Tea Party, and Voices of Wisdom (VOW) — and hosts a daily Facebook broadcast, '12 Minutes at 12,' found at jeffferguson.com.
They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death.

Intro
Philip:Hey, welcome to Daily Faith. That's new music and new bumper. I've never heard it before and it caught me off guard because it's shorter than the one we usually use, or we used to use. My name is Philip Cameron, and I am delighted that you are with us. Listen to me. You are going to be blessed today by the program.
Philip:I've never met him personally, but I've been following him and watching him for years on Facebook and other social networks. This guy is anointed of the Holy Ghost, and I can't wait to let you meet Jeff Ferguson. He has got the most unusual program. He is involved in everything, and I can't wait for you to meet him. I believe God's gonna use him to bless you. And you have made a new friend today by watching Jeff Ferguson, so we'll meet him in a few moments.
Philip:If you can help us by liking and sharing the program, you can catch us on YouTube slash dailyfaith.com. You can also watch us on a bunch of stations all around Florida and other parts of the country. We're on Tampa, on WCLF on Thursdays at 6:30, WFGC in West Palm Beach, WRXY in Fort Myers. We're on at one o'clock in the afternoon. Fort Myers, we love Fort Myers, and WKHB in Tulsa every Saturday and every Sunday at two o'clock. And you can also watch us on various networks — Tech Network, Journey Network, the WGGS network, and that's seen in South Carolina, Louisiana, and Georgia.
Philip:So whatever you're watching us today, we love you and we are, be part of our family. It's growing all the time. We're amazed. I started Daily Faith purely because pastors were calling me during the pandemic and saying, you know, what's happening in the church? Because we travel and speak in churches. And I was spending hours talking to pastors, holding hands with them, kind of in some instances. And my son said, why don't you do a one-hour show, sit down with a pastor and talk about their circumstance and they can learn from each other.
Philip:And that's how it started. But it began to grow. And today we are just amazed. We're getting contact from all over the country and places folk are watching us all over the world. And we love you for being part of the Daily Faith family. So I can't wait for you to meet my friend Jeff Ferguson. I think your life is gonna be changed and blessed by meeting him today. We're delighted you're here. Welcome to Daily Faith.
Philip:Hello, my friends. Welcome to Daily Faith, and I'm so glad you are with us. We are excited today because we've got a great guest that I think will be a tremendous blessing in your life. Every morning when I take time to seek his face, he'll either drop a song in my spirit or a scripture verse. And I muse on that all day long. And this morning, as I was just praying and meditating, the scripture, I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've committed unto him, against that day.
Philip:Let me tell you something. Something changes when you commit your situation. You may be watching me just now and your heart's in the biggest storm of your life. Your family may be going to hell in a hand basket. Your marriage, your business — I don't know what it is. But to the measure that you know who you believe in is how quick you can recover and get back on that victory road again. And I want to bless you and pray over you today to let you know that God is on your side. He knows you, he knows everything about you. David said, you know my uprisings, you know my down sittings, you know my failures and my successes.
Philip:But the great thing is he loves you — the love that will never let you go. And I just want to let you know today that God knows about you. You are written, the Bible says, on the palm of his hands, and he will never let you go. He doesn't have the ability to let you go, because his love is so strong towards you.
Philip:As many of you know, we have a mission work in Moldova. 35 years ago, my dad called me from Scotland and said that our baby's dying. And that began a chain of events that got me from my cozy world in America — being on all the TV shows, having written a book that sold 300,000 copies. All the stuff I wanted was at my fingertips. And this phone call from my dad absolutely upset the apple cart. And he told me about babies dying in orphanages in Romania. It was like talking about the moon. I had no idea.
Philip:And he kept calling me. He kept bugging me. And I finally said, I'll go. And he said, well, if you don't go with me, I'll go by myself. And if I die on the way — he was recovered from cancer surgery, you see, he was so sick — there's never a right time to do something for God. Listen to me. It doesn't go by your feelings. It doesn't go by your circumstance, how much money you have, how confident you feel. It's just having the faith to get out of the boat that matters. That's what moved God's heart.
Philip:So I went there, and in this orphanage I found a wee boy. There were 200 kids, but this one little fella stood out, and God said to me, he said, that's your son. And we began the process — a year to adopt him. And in that year, we ended up fixing the whole orphanage up. They had no toilets, all outdoor toilets, the roof leaked, the beds were painted with lead paint with horsehair mattresses. And I kept going back every few weeks to see that this little boy was okay. And in the meantime, God was fishing me and landing me on the boat of mercy and grace.
Philip:And so we now have an amazing place in a country called Moldova. It's right next to Ukraine. We have a home in Odessa that is literally under threat of missile attack constantly. Maybe you didn't see it today, but I'm up every morning, way early in the morning, checking these things. Ukraine just had a huge drone attack on Russia and landed some drones in Moscow, which will immediately have a retaliation from Russia back to Ukraine. And our girls live in Odessa. Please pray for their safety, because at any moment a missile could come and flatten the house that we have there.
Philip:So please pray about that. But we have an amazing place in Moldova called Vatra Village. It's on the largest lake in the country. And our kids that are at risk of being trafficked — in Moldova, when a girl turns 16, she's put out on the street from the orphanage — and they come to our village in Vatra and we put them back in school and we tell them God loves them. And the crazy thing is that every girl you are watching right now is worth $300,000 a year to a trafficker. Every three girls you see is worth a million dollars to a trafficker.
Philip:And they come to us and they find out about Jesus. And they stop being orphans, become sons and daughters, and then they become missionaries. And it's just amazing. And we just had a graduation. In fact, this last couple of months, we've had a graduation where a bunch of our kids graduate and leave. And then we've got a whole bunch of new ones coming in. 25 new kids came in just a couple of weeks ago. And one of the great sponsors of our ministry has been Elevate Church, Elevate Life, in Frisco, Texas. And this is the girls arriving at Elevate House. Watch this.
They have found the place for their weary hearts to rest. The abandonment and abuse, the poverty and loneliness of yesterday gives way to hope and peace. Their world is held in a small bag. The welcome top of clothes are more than they have ever seen, but most of all, it's home. Elevate Life Home — begins again the miracle of restoration. The torn threads can be repaired by the love of our house parents, as these precious girls are pointed towards the cross. You, by giving, have made this miracle happen again. It opens the heart of God to repay those who have given to the poor. Thank you for loving generously.
Philip:In Vatra Village, every day is a miracle. And those kids come to us literally with a little bag, their whole world in that bag. And my wife right this minute is in our warehouse working on Christmas gifts, because we send a container — we send many containers this time of year — we send a Christmas container over. And they're upstairs in our Christmas room, which is above me. And our warehouse is just a few feet this way. And we are gathering clothes that will keep out winter's bitter cold in Ukraine.
Philip:And we help countless refugees that are widows because of their husbands dying. Do you know there are over 300,000 young boys that have died in that war on the Ukraine side? They reckon in Russia it's 500,000. So all we're doing just now increases in the wintertime because of the pressure of cold weather. And we just need you to be praying with us. You can help us by giving a monthly gift. Everything you see is being made possible by someone giving $1 a day. You can change a life.
Philip:Those new kids that have walked into that house, they have no idea. They'll leave us in years to come. We don't have a time restriction. They come and stay however long. One girl became a doctor — six years she stayed with us. They leave speaking English, they leave full of Jesus, they leave with an education, and their whole future is transformed. And it's all done by someone just like you giving a dollar a day. Every girl you're watching is worth $300,000 to a trafficker. I think they're worth a dollar a day for the church. So let the Lord speak to your heart if you would.
Philip:Really simple — The Orphan's Hands, PO Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. You can also go to dailyfaith.tv. There's a giving page there. There's also a great product page. You can get all kinds of T-shirts and coffee mugs and baseball caps and stuff. And you can call us — 833 Daily Faith, just 833 Daily Faith — someone will be there to take your phone call. And let the Lord use you today. I know we're living in a dark world. I know the place is a mess.
Philip:Britain is on the point of a civil war right now. It's desperate times. But that's not the time to stop giving. That's not the time to stop going. That's the time to start. That's the time to get involved in the kingdom of God. Don't shut yourself down, because I'll tell you now, if you shut down your world, it's a very small world. But the moment you expand your spirit and your heart to see the world, Jesus said the fields are white to harvest. And you know the problem then and now — the laborers are few.
Philip:So let the Lord talk to your heart. And I'm just excited for God to use you to help these young ladies and young men that we help on the other side of the world. I am so excited to have my friend and guest with me today. I've been watching him for years. And at first I thought, who is this crazy guy? And as I watched him, I began to plumb the depth of his spirit and the wisdom of his heart. And as he began to communicate with me through Facebook and other social platforms, I began to understand that this fellow was real and serious.
Philip:And he's just moved to the land. And I've watched him all through this process and it's been amazing. And his dear friend Reba Rambo, that I've been a fan of since I was a young man back in Scotland — I have a box of all of the Rambos' records that I took from Scotland when I moved over here. And I hope one day to give them back to Reba, because she sure has blessed me. So Jeff Ferguson, I'm gonna let you tell us all about what you're doing, but I am thrilled to have you on Daily Faith today. God bless you, Jeff.
Jeff Ferguson's Adoption and Ministry Roots
Jeff Ferguson:Brother Philip, it is so good to be here. You told me just to call you Philip.
Philip:That's correct.
Jeff Ferguson:I'm telling you, I grew up in a full gospel church in Flint, Michigan. A Pentecostal pastor adopted me when I was seven.
Philip:Oh, wow.
Jeff Ferguson:And my biological father drowned when my mother was three months pregnant with me. She was just a young girl. So I was born in the Appalachian Mountains into great poverty. But I was so blessed to be adopted when I was seven years old by a Pentecostal pastor. But he was Brother Ferguson. And we were not allowed to call any man of God or woman of God or adult in the church by the first name without putting a brother or sister. So you told me just to call you Philip.
Philip:Just call me Philip.
Jeff Ferguson:I just can't do it. I'm gonna call you Brother Philip. Is that all right?
Philip:Whatever makes you comfortable, Jeff. It's fine with me.
Jeff Ferguson:And you call me Jeff and I'll call you Brother Philip. I know you have a doctorate, but I'm gonna call —
Philip:That's fine. None of those things matter. It is who you are that matters. And what I love about you is how transparent you are to allow the Lord to use you.
Jeff Ferguson:Well, I think sometimes people like me in small doses. But I gave myself permission. I remember when I was in the studio — I'm a songwriter — and I remember I was in a studio in the nineties doing a demo, and I just trusted the producer of the demo more than I trusted my own instinct. But he wasn't creating what I felt it should be, and it came from me. I was the writer. So I said, you know what, I just gave myself permission at that moment to trust my instinct and to be myself. That being myself was one of the right ways to do this.
Giving Yourself Permission to Be Authentic
Jeff Ferguson:And it ended up being how I wanted it. And from then on, in all my co-writing and all my ministry, I know that I might not be everybody's cup of tea, but what God put in me is one of the right ways to do it.
Philip:When I came to America — I came to America when I was 13, and when I was 21, my dad met me one day in our house and he said, you're going to America. We were in Scotland. He said, you're going to America tomorrow by yourself. And I said, whoa, just a minute. And he said, no, the Lord told me that you're old enough. Sent me to America at 21, to be on TV and stuff. And I said to him, I promise you this, I said, I'll do this, but the one thing I want God to know is I'm gonna be myself. And that's what I gave myself permission to be in the nineties.
Philip:And God wants — because he wants people to be naturally spiritual. And that's why I love your program every day. For those that are watching, tell us when they can get in contact with you and watch these amazing 12-minute shows that never last 12 minutes. We gotta change the name, I'm telling you.
Jeff Ferguson:Every day at noon on my Facebook page, you can find it there at jeffferguson.com. Every day at noon, we do 12 Minutes at 12. Sometimes it's at 12:03, 12:02. Once it's live, it's live. And I do a hundred things and it's rarely 12 minutes long. Sometimes it's 40 minutes long. So we gotta change the name. I'm thinking about changing it to High Noon.
Philip:I love it. Well, I've watched you, and what I love about you is how authentic you are. And as we're talking about this thing, we've lived in a world that tends to be — you put up this shield around you and you try to be what you're not. And the wonderful thing about Jesus is he loves you just the way you are. You are enough the way you are. And there's folk watching just now and they're trying to keep up with the Joneses and they're trying to be super spiritual. He knows exactly who you are the way you are, and he loves you. It's enough. You don't have to be any more than you are right now.
Jeff Ferguson:Scripture says that we have an accuser of the brethren — that's a truth. And the accuser of the brethren accuses us through people, and he accuses us through thoughts he plants in our own thinking. And there is a remedy, there is a vaccine, there is an antidote to this accusation that would try to distract us from the call of God and strip us of our confidence. And that is the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and serving the Lord so much we would die for the gospel. Those are the three things. And not living our life under the death.
Overcoming Accusation Through Testimony
Jeff Ferguson:And that second thing — the word of our testimony — is so important, because it's not only I who can overcome by the word of my own testimony, but countless others will overcome by the word of my testimony.
Jeff Ferguson:Brother Philip, I have been watching you since the PTL Club. I've been blessed by your ministry since the eighties. I moved to Oklahoma City when I was 17 to be the Minister of Music at a church. And I started watching — I found the PTL Club. I think it was called the Jim and Tammy Show by then. And it was on every morning at 10:00 AM and I watched it and you were on there a lot. So I have been following you and enjoying your ministry for decades. And what I loved about you is that you were from Scotland, you had this accent and you sang — and maybe people don't know that you sang.
Philip:I do. I used to.
Jeff Ferguson:And you were so unusual. You were absolutely yourself. When we are ourselves and we have confidence in who God made us to be, to confidently walk out in the call of God on our life, in the assignment with who we are, it gives other people permission to be themselves.
Philip:Absolutely. What I love about Joel Osteen is that he's not John Osteen. My favorite preacher of all time is John Osteen. And maybe the first month or two, when his son took the pulpit and took that church, Lakewood, maybe the first month or two he was trying to be John Osteen. And it fell flat. And then one day he just decided to be himself. And he is so effective. He's not everybody's cup of tea, but he's so effective. He does a Bible study every month in Cher's house in her Las Vegas home because he brought her to the Lord.
Jeff Ferguson:I never knew that.
Philip:No one else could say that. Because I remember when I ministered for Robert Schuller, he asked his audience at the Crystal Cathedral. He said, how many came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ from watching the Hour of Power? Everybody raised their hands. And he knew his audience. The evangelical church — we didn't like him because he didn't talk about the cross and the blood. He wasn't as graphic as we were. And we didn't understand that his audience was the world who had a vague knowledge of who Jesus was. But he brought them into the kingdom.
Philip:We must be ourselves. And that's that authenticity. My dad and John Osteen were very good friends. And after Brother John died, I watched Lakewood. When Joel first went on there, I remember me shouting at the television saying, Joel, stop blinking so much. And I was trying to coach him through the television. And I said to Christy, my wife, I said, you know, he's not gonna make it. He won't be able to carry what his dad's done. But he found his own voice.
Philip:And that is what got me. I would go to the PTL, Jeff, and I left school when I was 13. I played the accordion — the Lord showed me how to play the accordion in the night. And these praise songs that God gave us, I would weep before the program at PTL because they were all so professional and so amazing — the orchestra and the singers. And I would think, why am I here? What am I doing here? We're not good enough to be here. And Jim would introduce us and the Holy Ghost would fall, and the audience would be dancing. And Jim would say, cancel the rest of the program. Let the Camerons do what the Camerons do.
Philip:Because the anointing — the anointing equalizes. If you are not brilliant, get anointed. He'll elevate who you are by the anointing. And it's the anointing that breaks the yoke, not your gift or your talent. And that's what I love about you. You are just so open and transparent before the Lord and before folk watching you, and it is having great impact on me and I know on other people.
Jeff Ferguson:Brother Philip, in January I was at Nancy Dre's conference for Holy Ghost Winter Camp Meeting, I remember. And Reba was there with me. And on one of the last days of the event, there's this path that I walked there and God speaks to me on this path — this canyon, this dirt path in Southern California. And I was walking it, and I just had this sense that that day I had a special opportunity with the Lord to ask him for something that I wanted.
The Anointing Equalizes Every Gift
Jeff Ferguson:And I chose four things on that day. And I don't know what it was about that day. I've never heard of anything like that, that there are special days. But I sensed — not like rubbing the lamp of a genie and he'll give you three wishes — but kind of like that. I just felt like God was showing me that I could ask him what I wanted. And I felt that I needed to be careful what I asked for, because he was going to give me what I wanted. So I thought long and hard, and I prayed for four things.
Prayer Walk and Four Requests to God
Jeff Ferguson:I said, God, give me wisdom. God, I'm asking you to give me long life in good health. God, give me favor. And God, make me a soul winner. Those are the four things that I asked him for. And the only way that I can effectively do those things — and I felt that empowerment for those things ever since — is to do it through the vessel who God made. God made me the way I am. God made me creative. And I can go into a room and I can know what needs to happen to make it look better.
Tabitha's Toolbox and Widow Ministries
Jeff Ferguson:I can go to a Salvation Army and find a jacket with some slacks and make it look right. I know how to take a song. I know how to take a book and make it the best it can be. I know how to design a church service that's impactful. I don't know how I know those things. I didn't learn those things. But God put it on the inside of me. He gave me the idea for a widow's ministry. That's why I love your orphans ministry. And I love Andrew and I thank God that you adopted him.
Jeff Ferguson:And God gave me an idea for a widow's ministry that we implemented — Tabitha's Ministry. I didn't even know that Tabitha was in the Bible. I thought she was, you know, Samantha's daughter from Bewitched. But I found that Tabitha is in the Bible and she had a widow's ministry. And if she's the same woman as Dorcas — one is an Aramaic name, one is a Greek name — when she died in the book of Acts, the widows mourned so desperately that Peter raised Tabitha from the dead. What a woman of God.
Jeff Ferguson:And so I had this idea for a widow's ministry — Tabitha's Toolbox, a no-charge handyman and home repair service for widows in need. Tabitha's Table, a monthly service where we fellowship and have refreshment, and it's anointed with the word and worship. And Tabitha's Tea Party, where we spoil the ladies like crazy. We just had one. We have two of those a year. And then God gave me an idea — the VOW, Voices of Wisdom, to uncover the wells of those 50 and over who are often marginalized and set aside. A big Assemblies of God church — I'm not Assemblies of God — a big Assemblies of God church said, will you do that there? And they used it. We're still there four years later. They replaced the Assemblies of God SALT, which is their 50-and-over ministry, with our ministry.
Voices of Wisdom Ministry for the 50-Plus
Philip:Amazing. It's so powerful. We gotta be ourselves and let God use us in the unique way that he wants to use us. And being used by him — your soul satisfaction comes from being used by him. And then the gifting and the ability comes when you put yourself out to do that. And folk come to us now with our homes in Ukraine and Moldova, and they'll say, how do you do that? And I honestly don't know how. They'll say, give us a template. What is your model? And I'm saying, praying and being terrified most of the time and begging God to help, and not sleeping at night. But the answer is availability. God has given you the gift of availability.
Philip:I want those watching now to listen to me. I want you in contact with Jeff Ferguson's ministry. I believe there's a place that you can invest in and pray over and give, and you can go and see him in the land. Let me give you his address. It's Jeff Ferguson Ministries, PO Box 8, The Land, Florida 32721. And go online at jeffferguson.com. He is involved in so many unique ways to care for those that are in need. And I absolutely endorse and bless him in the name of Jesus. Go to his social media. And if you watch 12 Minutes at 12, plan on spending more time than 12 minutes, because it is gonna be longer than that.
Philip:Listen, my friend, it has been a delight to have you on Daily Faith. Please come back again. Let's do this again and do it often.
Jeff Ferguson:I'd love it. Love you, my brother. Thank you for blessing our ministry. You've been a blessing.
Philip:And your sister Wendy in Romania loves you.
Jeff Ferguson:I love her. I see her comment. I love her.
Philip:That's great. Thank you, Jeff. God bless. Thank you for watching Daily Faith today. We are so excited to see what God can do in your life. Be yourself. It's enough for the kingdom of God. We'll see you again. Amen. Bye-bye.
For over 25 years, the Cameron family has been changing the lives of orphans in Romania and Moldova — from providing running water, flushing toilets, and clean wells, to coal for heat, new windows, as well as food and clothing. They champion the physical needs of the orphans in these broken and desolate countries. Many of Moldova's orphans are saved from the horrors of trafficking through homes founded by the Camerons. And in the process, orphans become daughters and sons. They come to know their heavenly Father and are forever changed by the love of Jesus.
God helped the Camerons lift these amazing young men and women out of darkness, now no longer orphans. They want to return and invade that very same darkness with the light of Jesus Christ. The Orphan's Hands equips these daughters and sons to become missionaries. Your monthly gift of $31 will allow us to rescue and take in more girls and boys, saving them from the hell of human trafficking. Your monthly partnership will allow us to care for those in the Orphan's Hands homes in Moldova and Ukraine. If you want to join Philip and Chrissy in taking care of these precious young people, please contact us today by calling 833 Daily Faith. You can also give by going online to www.dailyfaith.tv, or by writing to Post Office Box 25, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. So many lives depend on what we do. Thank you for loving the lost.
Common questions
Where can I watch Jeff Ferguson's daily show and what is it called?
Jeff Ferguson does a show called '12 Minutes at 12' every day at noon on his Facebook page, and you can also find him at jeffferguson.com. He admits it almost never actually runs 12 minutes — sometimes it goes 40 minutes — and he's even thinking about renaming it 'High Noon.'
What four things did Jeff Ferguson pray for during his special moment with God in January?
While walking a canyon path in Southern California during a conference, Jeff felt a rare sense that God was inviting him to ask for what he truly wanted. He prayed for four things: wisdom, long life in good health, favor, and to be a soul winner.
What is Tabitha's Ministry and who does it serve?
Tabitha's Ministry is a widow's outreach Jeff Ferguson founded, inspired by the biblical figure Tabitha (also called Dorcas), who had her own widow's ministry in the book of Acts. It has three branches: Tabitha's Toolbox (a no-charge handyman and home repair service for widows in need), Tabitha's Table (a monthly fellowship with worship and the Word), and Tabitha's Tea Party (a twice-yearly event where the ladies are 'spoiled like crazy').
What is the VOW ministry that Jeff Ferguson started?
VOW stands for 'Voices of Wisdom,' and it's a ministry Jeff created to uncover and honor the gifts of people 50 and older who are often marginalized or set aside. A large Assemblies of God church adopted it and has been using it for four years, replacing their previous 50-and-over ministry with VOW.
How did Jeff Ferguson's upbringing shape who he is in ministry?
Jeff was born in the Appalachian Mountains into great poverty, and his biological father drowned before he was born. He was adopted at age seven by a Pentecostal pastor in Flint, Michigan, which grounded him deeply in full-gospel faith. He says that learning to trust his own God-given instincts — rather than conforming to others' expectations — became a turning point that shaped his authentic approach to songwriting and ministry.
