Should all acquaintance be forgot, it never broke to mind. Should all acquaintance be forgot for the days of all angst. That's the language I speak. It's called Doric, written by Robert Burns. And that song that we all sing, most people have no idea what it means. What it says is this, should all acquaintances be forgot for the sake of old times. And the friends that you have in your life are the most viable possession you will bring forward into your future. Cars will rust and decay. Houses will blow away. But the friendships you make in your life will last forever. So as we face the new year coming up, and you sing that song or you hear it on TV, why don't you look around your world and look at the friends that God has given you. They are your greatest assets.
