The choirs had stopped singing. Nothing was moving. The shock of his butchery had stunned the saints and angels. In hell, demons danced. They thought they destroyed the second Adam as they destroyed the first. Victory was theirs. Then it happened. God grasped the arms of the throne, stood up, and with authority that is eternal, spoke. The priceless paid. Arise, morning star. And in a dark, dingy cave, and eternity away, a heart leapt into rhythm. Strong, eyes opened, lungs gasped. He sat then stood.
