He was caught in a terrible situation. He was paralyzed and couldn't move. Worse, on top of all of this, he'd heard there was a guy called Jesus in town. You see, we talk of Jesus through historical eyes and the miracles he did in the context of the Bible. All this guy knew in the stretcher was that there was a man in town visiting and he could heal the sick. He'd heard stories about this man healing the sick. There was only one problem. When you're in a bed paralyzed, you can't get from where you are to where the answer is. And in the middle of this situation, the most crazy story unfolded. Someone in this story had an idea. Why don't we try and get, let's call him Jim. Jimmy, let's try and get Jimmy to Jesus. But the only problem is one person can't carry a stretcher by himself. He needs others. And he got three other buddies to come and pick him up and carry him to Jesus. You know the story. They opened the roof to let him down. The religious folk got mad when Jesus forgave his sins. And then Jesus says, well, what's easier? Forgive him or heal him? What do you think? And he says, take up your bed and walk. It all came together when people got together to bring those in need to Jesus. The church needs to get together to bring those in need to Jesus. We've got to stop fighting amongst ourselves and get our minds focused on the fields that are white at the harvest and get ourselves challenged to be an answer instead of part of the problem. And if you do, and if you and me and other folk get a corner of that stretcher, we can carry the whole world to the miracle working person we know is the Lord Jesus Christ. In your world where you are, there are sick folk waiting for you. Come on, let's get going. Let's bring them to Jesus. If you do, it'll change your life.
