Check the wind! It will make the difference!

Jun 3, 2026 2:03

Using the image of sailors catching the wind to cross the Atlantic, Philip Cameron teaches that aligning your life with the breath of the Holy Spirit will carry you to your God-given destiny far more powerfully than any human effort. Learning to turn your sail toward where God is blowing transforms stagnation into purpose in an instant.

I'm fascinated by sailing. I come from a fishing town. I once owned a little clinker-billed boat, but it had an engine in it. But I'm fascinated coming from where I come in Scotland, where the wind howls most of the year. I said, it is the windiest place you have ever seen in your life. But I've been watching on YouTube a series of young folk, and there's this young couple that have sailed across the Atlantic a couple of times and how they catch the wind and how they turn the boat to catch the wind and they turn the sails to catch the wind. And everything is governed by which way the wind is coming from. And by setting their sails at the right angle as to how and where the wind is coming from, they can, free of charge by the power of the wind, catching their sails, cover the earth. And in our lives, the breath of the Holy Spirit, the wind of heaven, the breath of God has more ability to get you where you need to be than you can ever do with a diesel engine. But the skill and the craft is learning how to turn your sail to where the breath of God is blowing. You'll know when it hits because you'll go from the doldrums to point and purpose in a moment's time. They have those, all the different instruments on the ship, the wee boat that they have. And they'll videotape it. It'll be nothing, flat, calm. And then all of a sudden, they'll catch the breath. And it goes from zero to seven just instantly because they would purpose in point as to where they're going. Think about it. Get the breath of God blowing in your life and you'll never be far away from destiny. And it'll change your life. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it. Think about it.
