Don't let the giants take your focus off of your promise land!
Drawing on the story of the Israelite spies and Caleb's courage, Philip Cameron urges viewers not to let life's giants steal their focus from God's promises. Like Caleb, believers can fix their eyes on the milk and honey and trust God to bring the giants down.

They tell me that it's an 11-day march from Israel right into the promised land. 11 days. That's all it had to be. 11 days. Shut your mouth. Keep walking. 11 days. You'll get out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, a straight shot all the way to the promised land. Shut your mouth. And they couldn't do it. They got to the promised land. If you see milk and honey, that's the place. That's always been the promise. When you see milk and honey, you know you've arrived. And Moses sends in the spies. And they come back, 12 happy lads. They go in there and they come back out and 10 say, My God, you should see the giants. Oh, the land has got milk and honey. Here are the grapes of Eskel. Look at this place. It's crazy. It's marvelous. Everything that God's promised. However, there are giants in the land. And we were like, listen, we were like grasshoppers in our own eyes. In your circumstance, the devil doesn't want you to see the milk and honey. He doesn't want you to see the promise. He wants you to see the giants. If he can get you looking at giants, you'll think that you are a grasshopper. And you know what it costs them? It costs them access to God's promise. Looking at the giants in your life. Looking at the stuff that scares you. I've just gone through five bypasses. And it's a scary thing. It's the biggest thing I've ever faced in my life. But if I focus only on that, there's no future. But I'm going to see past the giants and get to the grapes of Eskel and the milk and the honey. And God was so angry at them. At the very threshold of the promised land. He turned them around and marched them to death. No one over 21 will be back here again. And he waited until all the doubters died. Until a whole new fresh group and people came back to the promised land. And they had to get over the Jordan in a flood. There's always obstacles. There's always giants. Step aside and see the bigness of God in your circumstance. Taste the grapes of Eskel. Drink the milk and honey. And you'll discover that the giants that are facing you are going to fall. Caleb, 40 years later. He's one of the spies that says, let's go and take the land. Caleb says to Joshua. He says, any land, anything we see, it's yours. And Caleb says, I'm going to kill me some giants. And that's what Caleb did. He went back to the giants and he slew the giants. You're a giant killer. And there's grapes of Eskel and milk and honey. Go get it in Jesus' name. It's going to change your life. And there's always a lot of people. And there's always a lot of people. And there's always a lot of people.
